“Good hotel if someone else is paying”
Reviewed January 21, 2014

As with all Premier Inns, you generally get what you expect from this hotel. Clean and reasonably comfortable room in an excellent location. Although it is centrally located in London, it is very expensive (more than comparable hotels in the local area) and when you are paying this sort of money, it seems particularly mean of Premier In to make you pay more for wifi (you get half an hour for free - what good is that for anyone - but have to pay for more). Also, the wifi only lets you connect one device at a time, so you need to alternate between laptop and iPad etc. This is not particularly helpful for business travellers.

Otherwise, there is a good choice of restaurants in the hotel, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the location has hard to beat.

In short, a very good hotel - so long as it is being paid for by an expenses account.

Dear reviewer,

Thank you very much for commenting on our hotel; all feedback, positive and negative, is valuable for its allowing us to continually improve standards across our chain. Whilst we're pleased to see that you enjoyed most aspects of your stay, we're sorry if you felt that the cost of accommodation was too great. Whilst we try to remind customers that the cost of staying in the centre of London can be somewhat higher than in many other locations across the country, we do feel that we offer superior service and value-for-money vis-a-vis comparable hotels. Regarding the wifi, we provide this service through a third company - hence the £3 fee attached to a 24 hour usage. Many of our leisure guests find the 30 minutes' free usage sufficient for the short periods the internet is actually utilised during their visits to London.

Best wishes,
Nick, Reception

Excellent facilities. Surprisingly good food and exceptionally friendly staff. I did not choose to stay here as I was with a family group and I have stayed in much more expensive hotels. I was however impressed by the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff. The hotel is ideally situated. The food was good and choice was plentiful

You get what you expect from a premier inn: a large comfortable bed in a clean room. The hotel is surprisingly quiet given its location. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and friendly. I booked my room well in advance and got a rate of £79. Great value.

We needed a hotel close to St.Pancreas for an early morning Eurostar departure. This premier inn fitted the bill and didn't disappoint. Usual practical rooms with comfortable bed. Friendly staff ( except in the bar, who were a bit offhand ) and nice restaurant, which opened early enough for us to get some breakfast before we left. We were very pleased with our stay, which was reasonably priced and would use this hotel again !

Makes traveling to London and getting ready to experience the GREATEST CITY in the world easy. Staff are extremely helpful and welcoming and the room are comfortable but prehaps not always fastidiously maintained. The restaurant food is good value for money but it is worth scouting around the area for an alternative

Room Tip: Higher floors and overlooking the atrium are quieter

Dear Alisia R,

We always appreciate feedback, and so thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. We're very pleased to see that you enjoyed your stay enough that you would consider revisiting us. As you mention, the popularity of our breakfast means that the restaurant can become quite busy during peak hours (7:00-9:00), although our staff endeavour to accommodate guests as efficiently as possible. Dirty room, heating not working, not style, expensive... I didn't like this hotel. For 1 night can be OK but not to stay day more than that...
It's is close to train station so it is convenient if you have to take a train.
