Having been on an overnight flight we arrived at the hotel exhausted and early however they allowed us to check in to try and get some sleep. The bed was so incredibly comfortable and welcoming unfortunately there was scaffolding being put up at the back of the hotel and the noise was almost impossible to shut out. This was only an issue as we were trying to sleep during the day. Apart from that, our stay there was excellent. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was excellent with a very helpful chef cooking the eggs fresh as needed.

The price we paid was cheaper than the nearest Premier Inn and the quality a lot better.

It was a matter of a two minute walk to Euston station which couldn't have been better and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again or recommend it.

Esteemed guest

Thank you for choosing to stay with us and posting such a positive review! I am extremely delighted that we exceeded your expectations.

We have created in this space some of the most comfortable bedrooms rooms that compete favourably with five stars hotels in London. We have rooms in all sizes to give our guests a wide choice.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to offer you TheWesley hospitality and letting us and all our potential guests know how much you enjoyed it. Thank you for highlighting the areas you felt we fell short. I promise you that all these will be investigated and where improvements are needed made so that our guests can continue to enjoy premier services and quality stay.

A social enterprise like ours thrives on the positive messages from people like yourselves. As you may have learnt from us during your stay, we are the first ethical hotel in the UK. What that means is that we aim to provide guests with what we promise, that is quality service and accommodation but also all our profits are gift-aided for the education of deserving students all over the world.

We look forward to welcoming you back!

We stayed overnight before taking an early morning Eurostar. Firstly, the negatives:

At the time, extensive work was being done at the place and the lift did not work, so we had to take our baggage up the stairs. Not too much of a hassle for us on the first floor.

The free wireless internet was also not working and was told that the technician was coming the next day.

The shower, although having lovely fixtures and fittings weirdly would not keep a temperature and continually swept from cold to hot and cold again with a period of about 5 seconds. It didn't bother me a great deal, but my wife did not like it at all.

And now for the positives:

The location is very convenient to Kings Cross station for the Eurostar, however is located fairly close to a Pub which generated a little noise but not intrusively so. The room was small but adequate, the bed comfortable and the bathroom had all the amenities you would require. Cleanliness very good. Staff were helpful and pleasant. Due to our early checkout, we were not able to sample the breakfast.

Overall, in the same situation again, I would stay here again without a doubt.

The hotel is within minutes of Easton station, very quiet neighbourhood for a good night sleep, great breakfast chef and very helpful.

Although there is an elevator, yet there are some stairs that make it a bit tedious getting ur luggage to the room.

I have been to this hotel in jan 2013 while I was on a business trip and also in July while I was on a leisure trip to London and Paris and was planning to use the train to Paris which is also steps away from the hotel.

All in all, apart from its prices being a bit high in the high season versus in january, it is certainly one of my first choices in London.

Staff were also quite helpful in advises.

Cheers.

Room Tip: Avoid the rooms that need the extra stairs to get to them.

Stayed there recently for a couple of night , very nice clean hotel, rooms are a bit small but ok for a short break. The bar shut at 10 o'clock on the nights we stayed which was a bit poor . Also a lot of building work getting done so if going as for a room away from this as it started at 8 o'clock.

We stayed in Wesley Hotel just 2 days ago for 5 days and generally were pleased for the stay.
It was at a convenient location with a reasonable price. The rooms were clean & comfortable and the breakfast was excellent(we took 2 rooms). Our only dissapointment was the uninformed repair activities which started at 8:30 in the morning without any pre-notice and there was no excuse for that.Anyhow, due to short stay, we did not mind so much.

Good location with wide variety of transport links, only a few minutes walk to Euston station; safe area; room is clean and modern; everything is up to a four-star standard until we came across an incredibly RUDE receptionist when we checked out.

We were charged for £20 due to a two-hour late checking out, we thus requested for the terms and conditions where it states £10/hour for late checkout and an appropriate invoice as an evidence to claim our expenses. However, whatever we asked regarding the late checkout information,
1) the receptionist kept repeating "I don't need to tell you!" in such an unpleasant attitude
2) he even mentioned if I had asked him 'KINDLY' earlier, he would probably have made some arrangement. This makes me wonder whether this charge was actually merely up to the mood of the receptionist
3) apart from those, other unprofessional behaviours include slamming the cabinet door in front of the customer and putting down a pen vigorously after I asked him to write down his name, etc...

I strongly recommend the MD to send this kind of staff for professional training. It is undoubtedly ridiculous saying things like 'I don't need to tell you!' and 'if you had asked me KINDLY earlier' to a customer. Completely inappropriate wordings while he appeared to have no intention to admit his poor attitude. I sincerely feel sorry for the Wesley as everything is up to a good standard but I worry that this unprofessional customer service even just from one member of staff would potentially ruin the reputation of the hotel.

Reception was very friendly, especially James. They were very good on the day we were leaving and stored our bags until we were ready to get our train. Rooms were very nice and clean with air conditioning, and tea and coffee making facilites, couldn't fault the rooms. Did find however the cold tap on the shower wasn't working. English breakfast was nice, it was done as a buffet but unfortunately didn't have any toast only bread. During the night could hear the water pipes rattling so did take a while to get to sleep. Early in the morning approximately just after 7am could hear very loud voices on corridor outside and this continued for a long time. The distance from Euston station was fantastic was really pleased. All in all would definitely recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
