“Excellent location, comfy apartment”
Reviewed March 21, 2012

We stayed at the studio apartment with our young daughter for whom the proprietors had obliged with a complimentary camp bed. The apartment was well equipped with a kitchen, queen bed, dining table, flat screen TV and a bathroom with sufficient hot water. The kitchen had all the amenities; small fridge, microwave, stove, washing machine and was even stocked with washing liquid & sponge. The unit was equipped with a video security system where you can see & buzz in your visitors at the main entrance. There is also parking available to guests on the property which is a rarity in London.
The best thing about the apartment is the location. It is located within a short walk to Notting Hill Gate tube station, where one can catch 3 lines: Central, District & Circle. Very convenient indeed! And for shopaholics, the Central line will take you to Oxford St to the west and Westfield White City to the east. Also, buses are easy to catch. There is a Waterstones bookshop right opposite the apartment and there are supermarkets, convenience stores, phamarcies & various eateries around the apartment.
Another nice thing was the welcome email sent by the Manager which contains all info you need to know before arriving, which is useful even if this is not one's first visit to London.
The only thing that could be improved is the windows in the unit, especially in the bathroom were not very tight and it got a bit draughty & cold. Wifi Internet costs £20 for a week, connection was so-so and could be accessed by 1 device at a time only.
Overall, it was a fabulous place to stay in London even if the apartment was furnished simply as the location was superb.

The location is very strategic and close to famous shooping areas such as Oxford street and Picardilly. Very near to public transport, tour bus and Notting Hill Gate tube station. The location is at the end of Kesington Church Street that meets the Baywater street leading to Oxford street. Public bus and tour bus pass in front of the apartment, so you do need to take distance walk to reach the Public transport like some of the other hotels and apartment. The moment you come out from the the apartment you can reach the nearest bus stop by the side of Baywater street.

It is a budget apartment , reasonable price with basic amenities and the big room that I stayed can easily accomodate my family members consist of 4 adults and 3 kids even though it is not space luxury. Suzie the owner has provided extra beds for my family without additional cost. So it is worth staying here taking into account London is an expensive city.

The apartments are basic (not modern at all), but clean and exactly what we needed. We had a livingroom with sofabed and a separate bedroom with twinbeds. Besides that also a small kitchen and a bathroom. The apartment gets cleaned every day (except weekends) and towels are changed every two days.
The location is perfect. Close to the metro station which runs 3 tube lines. There are several supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants etc at a 3 minutes walking distance.

Recently stayed at 202 apartments, Loved the location.
We arrived at 7am on a Sunday morning (only 1 minute walk from the tube) and due to the office being shut on Sunday the staff were kind enough to leave a key, we were also allowed an early check in without any extra charge. 1 hour free internet was also provided but wasn’t really advertised when we arrived. This however didn’t last long, suggest maybe 1 hr free each day of your stay would have been better.
The room was old and décor from the 70s which was kind of cool, but the name of the hotel might be a little misleading to some people as being ‘Modern”
For the price it was value for money and with its own kitchenette allowed small meals to be prepared saving money on the food bill. Grocery Shops were however a bit of a walk to get to.
All bedding, bathroom and kitchen were clean although old , however the tiling in the bathroom allowed water to seep all over the floor and the toilet didn’t flush properly. Shower pressure average also. The room didn’t have air-conditioning so was quite warm in the afternoon, so consider this if going in the middle of summer, it does have heating though for winter.
All in all a good stay and would come back again next time in London.

These apartments are terrific value. The position could not be bettered, just around the corner from Notting Hill Gate underground. Kensington gardens nearby with museums, shopping and the west end a short underground ride away. Paddington, for heathrow express quite close, but managers Will arrange car for airport.
Apartments are comfortable and fully equipped if you wish to prepare meals. There are a lot of restaurants within walking distance, and supermarkets for food shopping.
Management are very efficient, friendly and welcoming. Our family have been using these apartments since 1995, and we keep coming back.

The convenient location in a fabulous area of London was the best thing about this place. Buses downtown and the tour buses come almost to the front door. Restaurants of all types close by or grocery stores if you are on a budget. Luxury apartments line the streets This was not one of them). Very close to the Notting Hill Gate tube station.

Five of us stayed in the apartment and it was crowded but manageable if you are not planning to spend much time in the apartment. There was no room for five of us to sit and eat. The furniture was shabby but ok. We stayed on the front side of the apartment though and it was very noisy. The shower head did not work and it took a couple of days to get it fixed.

The cleanliness was so-so andI would really like to see some cleaning supplies provided. My daughter was quite ill when we stayed and I had no way to clean up other than using the bath towels.

Good price for this area of London though. Would recommend if you are not too fussy about lodgings and looking for a deal.

When we arrived early at 9 am, before check in time, we were greeted warmly by Susie. We stored our luggage and took the kids to Hyde Park for a play at the Princess Diana Memorial Playground (just a short walk). We had a lovely time there and Susie called us as soon as the room was cleaned and ready.

We were in appartment 22 facing the street. There is some noise from the street but it didn't really bother us as the windows were double glazed.

We paid £20 to have wifi for 7 days and it was not the best connection as the signal strength varied significantly during the day. We found it most reliable in the hallway or by the door.

The beds were not the most comfortable we had slept in but adequate. The layout of the apartment was also a little quirky.

Despite these shortcomings I would however recommend these apartments as they are excellent value for money due to their wonderful location and lovely manager. Susie really does make you feel like one of the family.
