On our recent trip to London, I had booked a reservation for the London Eye. It is a little confusing and I am not sure how much time that I saved, although I do know that I did save time. I had to wait on line to get my reserved ticket, which was a short line...5-10 minutes, as opposed to a potentially very long line, but the bulk of the waiting comes after that, which was about 45 minutes. It is an expensive attraction and in order to cut down that wait time to about 15 minutes, you have to purchase a fast track.
I liked the attraction. It had great views of London and gave us an over view, as it was the first thing that we did after our arrival, but it is expensive and time consuming. The ride takes about 30 minutes and there are points marked on maps as you are in your 'car'. There are about 25 people to a car and their courtesy is also impacting your experience.
It is something different to do if you have the time and the money to do it,, but London has so many things to see and they can be expensive as well.
