Just far enough away from King's X Stn to provide some respite yet near enough to be convenient. Very authentic French artisanal bakery.

I LOVE Aux Pains du Pappy - I work a few streets away so this has become my daily coffee (and more) shop - When it opened 1 year ago I was thrilled to try a neighborhood bakery and avoid the larger chains locally. 1 year on and it is still thriving and gorgeous!
This is a family run and personable bakery, everything is made freshly on the day and it is all delicious. From the handmade rolls for lunch to the breakfast croissants and all the outstanding cakes. I have never been anything but thrilled with the quality. We have ordered large cakes, large bread orders for parties and lunches for clients.
The coffee is excellent quality and the lovely team here always remember your favourites.
If you are near Kings Cross - go and visit - if there is a queue at busier times it is absolutely worth waiting - this place is leagues above any of the chains locally. Recommendations: The croissants, pastries (almandine and apple turnover are favourite), baguettes with various fillings and the coffee. There's a little seating inside and also outside, outside is perfect for some people watching. Go visit this is a very special bakery.
Title says it all really! This place is fabulous. Lovely friendly staff. All of whom seem to be French. Stunningly gorgeous bread and pastries. Best croissant I have had outside of France!
Fantastic pastries (my favourite is the brioche) and service! The staff were polite, friendly and attentive, which really enhanced the overall experience. Although Aux Pains de Papy is a bakery (and hence has limited seating space), the four seats/two tables outside still provide a pleasant opportunity to people watch. With its close proximity to Euston, St Pancreas and King's Cross, this place might be ideal for spending a couple of hours while waiting for your next train.
Great French pastries, real coffee and very friendly staff. The croissant was really delicious! It wasn't very busy on a Saturday morning, so I got one of the two tables outside and enjoyed sipping my coffee and watching people passing by.
