Stayed here for 2 nights over the weekend! Modern hotel on the southbank! Havent stayed this side of the thames before! Very impressed!lots of things going on for my son. Little bit out of the way for main attractions but a short walk away to vauxhall tube n bus station was no trouble. Spacious comfortable rooms with friendly staff!only negative about room was iron burn on carpet and would have liked to use fridge without having to leave card details.but there was a free ice machine in corridor. Concierge was brilliant with helping us with bus routes etc. Yes breakfast was downstairs no windows yet this didnt bother us and the service given was excellent! A very tasty breakfast to set us up for a day of sightseeing. Didnt eat at night at hotel as we went to theatre and chose to eat out. All in all a very enjoyable stay and will definatly stay here again when in london.

Room Tip: Worth upgrading for thames view

Stayed in the park plaza riverbank over the weekend as part of a birthday celebration trip to London. The hotel is in a fab location. It took us about 10 mins to walk to big ben and the london eye. The staff we encountered were all friendly and professional. The lobby/ reception area all look very modern, well maintained and luxurious. However the room we stayed in was just a standard room, nothing special. The room had tea/ coffee making supplies and even an iron and ironing board so that was a bonus. The bed was also very comfortable. However the room let itself down by having stained, dirty carpets and also overlooked a building site (admittedly not the hotels fault) so was quite noisy. Overall we got a good price and with the location was worth the cost, however i would have been disappointed if i had paid the full price.

Could supply facecloths. Never met a hotel that doesn't supply facecloths until I came to UK
Breakfast staff attentive. Food selection good.
Rooms clean, beds comfortable
Shower doors did not close properly, as handle to close was missing, therefore leaked all over the floor. Bathtubs too tall and narrow. Need safety bars in shower to hold onto, for middle aged clients.

Room Tip: No facecloths provided

This hotel has a great location and, if you are lucky enough to get a room overlooking the Thames, a great view. We visited some friends staying here a couple of months ago and they had a suite overlooking the river, which was fantastic. I then booked for a friend and myself to stay last weekend but unfortunately we didn't have such a great view as we were facing another wing of the hotel, which I was a little disappointed about. The room itself was clean and comfortable and the bathroom modern and spacious. We paid to have the buffet breakfast at the hotel which we found plentiful but a little pricey. We visit London on a regular basis and wouldn't have any hesitation about staying at this hotel again and who knows, we may even get a room overlooking the Thames next time!

Since my wife rarely travels with me on business trips, I requested an upgrade with a view over the Thames 3 days before arriving in London. This was duly offered and accepted by me at a cost of £50 per night. On arrival I was informed at reception that no upgrades were available. Asked why I hadn't been notified earlier I was told that my acceptance mail hadn't been opened due to the Front Desk’s heavy workload!! Thoroughly disappointed, and a good 30mins later, we were offered a suite (positive) but with a view over the noisy main line into Victoria Station and the most boring of back side panoramas south of the river!!

The hotel is modern, impersonal and failed to live up to its 4-star rating. Worst was the pokey, windowless breakfast restaurant with desperately poor acoustics offering what can only be called a very ordinary selection of items.

Positives? Yes the Concierge who was extremely helpful. And also the "overworked" receptionist who deserves credit in finding us a better room as compensation for two nights at no extra cost.

Stayed for three nights in this hotel, very comfortable and service was excellent. The down side if you are doing all the tourist locations is that its a bit out of the way. We have stayed at several hotels in the Westminster area and would choose to be closer to the main hub in the future.

Staff were very helpful and polite and bar staff were especially attentive. Great to come back after a long day and relax with a chilled wine or beer.

Room Tip: If you can get a riverview room then an added bonus.
