“Luxury cosy restaurant in a lovely setting”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

I visited here with my other half for a lovely three course meal during the week. Upon arrival we were greeted at the door by a friendly host, who quickly confirmed our reservation and although we had arrived quite early, showed us to a different table in the heart of the floor, which was great.
The interiors look amazing, and gives off a real sense of style and quality. The staff are very attentive and the menus are quite diverse.
I had scallops for starters, which were creatively presented. I then had a steak for my main, again presented in a terrific manner. I must say it was cooked to perfection, I asked for Medium-Well and it was probably the most tastiest steak I have had for years. I rounded the evening off with a champagne cheesecake, which was mouth watering. Of course, you cannot leave this place without trying a glass of champagne also. Again, as you would expect, this was top quality too.

“Excellent service”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

We dropped in here the other night for dinner, we found the place to be really good, We were served by Joseph, who was excelllent.
we had oysters to start which were scrummy, my wife had the sea bass and I had the lobster and steak mini burger sliders with a couple of side orders, this was followed with a lovley cheesecake.
washed down with reasonable priced wine for the city.
The place is well laid out with a relaxed feel, toilets spotless and well maintained.

“Great food and excellent service”
Reviewed July 9, 2014

We went to Tirage as we were staying in London for the night on our way to Brussels and saw the Groupon voucher so thought we would give it a go and we weren’t disappointed. When we arrived at the restaurant we were politely greeted by a waitress and given an option of two tables, one in a quiet corner or one in the middle of the dining room. After choosing the one in the middle we were seated and given the menu. Shortly after we were asked what we would like for our aperitif. We both obviously went for the champagne which was lovely. For starters we both had the red mullet, then for main I had the steak and my wife had the sea bass and we then both went for the cheesecake for dessert. All dishes were beautifully presented and tasted lovely. I had mentioned when booking that it was our anniversary and when the desserts came they had written 'Happy Anniversary' on the plates which was a very nice touch. The service was second to none. All the food was explained in detail on arrival at the table and our wine glasses were always kept topped up by the attentive staff.

Even though we were in a nice London restaurant near the Gherkin and they are obviously used to people with plenty of money, we never felt pressured to order an expensive bottle of champagne or wine. This really is a lovely place to eat and the setting is lovely as well, very modern and crisp but still cosy. We will definitely be visiting again when next in London.

“Excellent Addition to the City Scene”
Reviewed July 8, 2014

The concept of "Tapas" and Champagne is an interesting one at this open long hours venture with expertise provided by David Moore of Pied a Terre fame.

Whilst it is possible to go in and have a simple tapas meal or just a glass of Champagne there is also a very good value set tasting menu with a vegetarian option. Portion sizes were generous and dishes were inventive both looking and tasting very good. The non vegetarian option consisted of Oysters, Tuna Carpaccio, Sea Bass, Venison and ice creams (the peanut ice cream was to die for). Cuisine is an eclectic mix of French, Peruvian and modern.

On a Monday afternoon it was quiet but with a steady trade in and out, the design is modern and you sit on high chairs with a good view of what is going on.

Staff are extremely friendly and Roberto, the Sommelier, is extremely knowledgeable. The selection of Champagnes (at a wide range of price points) and Sparkling wines (even including examples from Russia) is probably second to none in London. The pace of service was good and we would have no hesitation in returning. Only open Monday to Friday though at the moment.

“What a treat!”
Reviewed July 7, 2014

Just back from a super meal at this champagne bar. Lovely juicy steak cooked to perfection! All the staff we came into contact with were very efficient and friendly, all taking time to stop for a chat. We went on a voucher, and it was our first visit, but won't be our last! Good value for money lunch deal, but quite pricey main menu.
