Holiday Inn Express London-Swiss Cottage

We flew in early to Luton and arrived at the Holiday Inn Express via Easybus which stops right outside the front door. Reception staff were more than happy to take our bags into storage until our room was available later. The room and breakfast were all excellent and the staff were polite and professional throughout. Opposite the hotel is a shopping centre with Wetherspoon's Pub, Nando's restaurant and the FInchley Road underground station is just 2 minutes walk down the road.

After our 2 night stay, we were able to leave our bags again to pick up later which was really handy.

Incidentally, unlike some other reviews of this hotel, we did not find the traffic noise from Finchley Road a problem, even though our room was front facing. Maybe we are heavy sleepers though!

Wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again.

Typical budget hotel, similar to a premier inn in terms of standard. We stayed here for 3 nights using it as a base for exploring London. Finchley Road tube station is a few hundred yards away and is around 20 minutes form the city centre. Accomodation is small, but clean and well presented. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with selection of hot and cold foods.

Nothing special here. Just a Holiday Inn Express. If you are able to find a deal online then it is absolutely worth it. Although not disabled, we were given a disabled room with a "shower room"... In many hotels the disabled rooms tend to be roomier but we never asked for this and would rather have preferred it went to someone who actually needed it. The "shower room" was a complete nightmare... the bathroom could not handle the water and some would get into the room. It was a bit messy. The reception staff was not very friendly at all. On the plus side, breakfast was actually quite good. A lot of variety and the quality was good for this caliber of hotel.

Booked for £79.50 with breakfast for one night for a trip to London with my husband. A short walk from finchley road tube (zone 2) great room, comfy bed and pillows all we needed for a place to rest out heads! Breakfast was toast/cereal/egg/sausage/yoghurt and fruit with pasteries. All very adequate for what we needed. Across the road is a shopping centre with a whetherspoons if you wanted more. Would stay again.

just returned from staying here on a Saturday night, stayed with my wife and daughter in a room which sleeps up to four.everything was great,we arrived earlier than the check in time which wasnt a problem, our room was ready so were able to go straight to it.All the staff were most obliging and even after we had checked out on the Sunday we were able to leave our luggage in the luggage store whilst we did some touristy stuff. The hotel is in a great location, only a couple of stops on the tube from oxford street and theatreland but far enough away to get an undisturbed nights sleep, the breakfast was good and plenty of it, and all in all our stay was fantastic value for money,we will definately stay again.

I recently stayed here for one night whilst visiting London. I paid £55 for a family room, and that included breakfast. I honestly thin that is fantastic value for a hotel very near to central London.

The room was very clean and had everything I needed, including tea and coffee. I forgot my toothbrush and they were kind enough to provide me with one free of charge!!

The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was basic, but as it is included free of charge I certainly wouldn't complain. There was cereal, danishes, some cooked food, juice etc - all good quality.

Internet for 24 hours was £7.50, which again I thought was reasonable as I used it to work for several hours. The speed was good and wifi has just been installed so you were not confined to the desk.

Th only issue with the hotel is the noise, it is on Finchley Road which is very busy at all hours. If you are a light sleeper this would probably cause you some issues.

I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Room Tip: You want to request a room that doesn't overlook Finchley Road
