I stayed for one night and expected a basic hotel as all we wanted was a place to sleep. We were given a room on the ground floor with a view into what seemed to be the utility closet. Tube could be felt and heard quite loudly at night and in turn will keep you awake. Breakfast was a tray consisting of a carton of orange juice a stale breadroll and a packaged danish which was handed in the door in the morning (the door knob could be reached from the bed as the room was so small). You are paying for location and nothing else.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms to be avoided

Great location but that is it.
All you have access to is a small really old fashioned bedroom. Nothing else, even your breakfast ( Bread rolls, jam, a cake and carton of orange juice) is bought to your room as there is no where else in the house that you can access. Its bascially what i would call a Back Packers place, nothing wrong with that if thats what you want, however, please dont expect anything else. The staff were pleasant enough and as we were only there for 1 night no big deal. Just letting you know what to expect!

Room Tip: Floor floors NO lift... long old walk lol

We wanted somewhere to stay during the Olympics that was good value. If all you need is a place to sleep and have a shower then this is ideal. The location is very good (2 mins to Paddington, 10 mins walk to Hyde Park) and there are plenty supermarkets, pubs, take aways and restaurants in the vicinity. We stayed in room 8 (first floor overlooking Norfolk Square) and it did the job. It was fairly clean, had a small table and chairs, little tv, big mirror, hairdyer, tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge! The bathroom was tiny but it didn't matter for one night. We were able to leave our luggage there before we checked in and after we checked out. The staff were friendly. This is certainly a budget option but if you just need a bed for the night then this place is good.

We were 3 people, who stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We had reserved at 3-person room, but got a 4-person room (room 21) at the top of the building, so we had good space, but it's a hard way up many stairs. Very ok for healthy adults, but I wouldn't reccomend it to elderly people. Neihter to families with small children, hence the room is very hot and the windows open from below, with the right under the window. The room has ok bath(toilet and a small fridge.
Nice to get your own keys which goes both to the room and the outdoor. Very nice people in the reception. No need to use the safe in the room, hence the cleaner also is one of the owners. Bus no.23 or 159 stops few meters from the hotel-entrance, bus-stop is St.Marys hospital, next to Paddington.

Me and my partner went to this hotel on sundag 8th july, we got it for 60£ for both of us which was great value for money being as it was the day of wireless festival which me and my partner attended.

We got to the hotel about half 11 but was too early to check in the receptionist and cleaner was very freindly and helpfull allowing is to leave our case while we went for something to eat before we could check in.

Theirs only one cleaner and god knows how many rooms so we understood she may take a while to get to our room, we arrived back at the hotel about 2ish but the room still wasnt ready but that didnt bother us as we wanted to just put our case in get changed then head to hyde park.

The receptionist was very freindly and was understanding with us. Both staff then should us the riute to hyde park . the underground runs under the hotel but yea yiu can hear it but not majorly loud and you get used to it. never woke me up anyway!

Breaky gets deliverd at 8 am not the best but was nice enough and like i said for the price we got for this very good hotel in a ideal location.

Would defo come back here if need be again.

I would not be a tourist if I not start with the excellent location of this hotel- just 3 minutes from the tube, the Paddington station( the train that heads Windsor as well) and Hyde Park- Bayswater is a great district with a lot of cheap restaurants( in comparison to such in the centre) and different cousine to be tasted, so have it mind.
My sister and I were accommodated in Room 11, which failed to ensure us enough free space. However, the staff was more than helpful and they even took our 27kg. weighting luggage to the room and gave us the so important power plug for UK sockets. Besides, an electric kettle was provided, as well as a handful of tea bags, instant coffee, sugar packets and nondiary creamers.
I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel to everybody, who is not so capricious and would not mind staying in a small room for several days, as the easy access to the city centre do counts.

Our stay at this hotel was good. We stayed in Room 6 which is on the ground floor and had two double and one single bed. The shower and toilet were small but very clean and shampoo soap hairdryer and towels were all provided. The hotel has free wi fi and is very close to Paddington train and tube station. All the beds were clean and towels were white and soft. The receptionists were very friendly and allowed us to leave our luggage in the room, they even offered the facitilites to freshen up before our journey home. We were not expecting breakfast to be up to much but a full tray of goodies were provided all fresh and tempting. This hotel is perfect for a one night stay and although not at all luxurious it is a perfect place for a short break. The tube could be heard underneath the hotel but hey the hotel is in London !! Thank you St George Hotel.

Room Tip: Room 6 is on the ground floor so no steps to climb !
