“Last Monday of Everymonth”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

I like comedy but get a bit tired of professional comedians as their material gets a little too similar if you have seen many.

This is why I LOVE the last monday of every month. They do a king Gong night. Basically a number of comedians wannabe that go from great to really bad, their task is to last more than 5 minutes on stage without been voted out by the public. 3 red cards are given to the public but a host and if someone is bad cards go up.

The funny thing is to laugh at the people who face going on stage and not the actual jokes. Worth much more than going to a night were a professional comedian will be on stage.

The host gives the audience the last touch of fun. Making fun about many of the people seating on the first line of seats.

“Fantastic night”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 3, 2013

Went to the 11pm show on Saturday night of Easter weekend. My stomach hurt from laughing so much. Had a fab night, really enjoyed the evening. There were 5 acts plus the MC (Mickey Hutton - he's fab!) Totally recommend an evening here!

“1 out of 4 acts good, rest dreadful. Visiting 20 years too late!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Got taken here as a birthday present, we went as a group. First impressions, doorman and staff rude and bordering on agressive in tone and body language.
Venue is fine inside and had the right feel for a comedy venue, being in a basement. With such an illustrious heritage I was shocked at how poor acts were. Literally 3 out of the four acts were really really poor doing routines that you'd be disappointed to see in your local pub.
When the acts are finished they may as well throw teargas to empty the building as they get ready to shepherd in the next sitting!
Certainly not what you'd expect of a club claiming to be world class, if I had a time machine I would use it as the place had great acts in the 80's. In conclusion, save your money and use it to visit one of the many pubs in the capital that host comedy nights which all up and coming comedians use as part of the circuit.

“Good night - bad food!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2013

Based upon the reviews on here I visited the comedy store for an impro night.
I really enjoyed the night out, started off badly as I had forgotten the card which I book on (this was required in order to pick up the tickets) – however the ticket booth allow me through without this.
Went in and got some drinks which were very reasonably priced – we then got some food which to be honest was horrible, but it was cheap and cheerful, so I can not complain too much.

The comedy show itself was well worth the money to see – all in a cheap night in London.

“great night as usual”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 25, 2013

been several times to the comedy store- we have always been to see the "comedy store players" which is an alternating team who do a night of improvisation. Most of the have been around for years and are very practised and good at what they do. Next time I think we will see some stand up. The bar staff are excellent and usually remember your drinks from your first order and are friendly and fun. The door staff can be a bit rude and abrupt and would do well to remember that withou customers they would have no jobs. Comedy is always good, food is nice. Toilets are clean. I Would reccommend this venue
