“Funky, groovy place 2 meet, greet and watch alternative films”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

Really g8 venue to meet up with friends, lovers, watch classic & indie films and grab a coffee, drink and nice food. There is a bar and a a couple of cafes/ restaurants and in the Summer you can sit outside and watch the world go by. It's also fine to go alone during the day or evening. A g8 stopping off point or watering hole if you're a tourist and need to have a break. A lovely spot to catch some g8 movies and very relaxed and friendly. Go see!

“Wish all cinemas were like this!”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

So nice to have a clean, modern cinema with such a wide range of movies and no sticky floors or sickly popcorn smell. The seats are AMAZING; huge, squishy, red velvet armchairs! You have a clear view with no head in front of you. The staff are really nice too. I really loved the red curtain that was pulled across the screen as the credits rolled, it really gave a touch of old school class that you don't get in normal cinemas. The shop was really good too, selling a wide range of quirky merchandise, obscure DVDs and books about filmmaking at decent prices.

“Escapism in comfort!”
Reviewed January 24, 2013

I walked in spontaneously a sunday or two back and picked a film to watch based on what was on in the comng half hour or so. I had a beautiful time. A comfortable seat with good views, clean and just the right temperature in the room. We were given an a4 sheet with lots of information about the film we were about to enjoy. The audience were so respectful. No one moved an inch until the credits had finished and the gentle lights came on. The staff were polite and helpful. I left there feeling so calm and satisfied. Of course the film helped as it was excellent. But again, credit to the place as they pick what to show! I will definitely be back. And such a great spot being on the southbank. A place that deserves to be proud of itself.

“Restaurant view alone is worth it”
Reviewed January 6, 2013

Visited in December prior to theatre.
Excellent value burger in the restaurant.
View of riverbank from the comfort of indoor dining table is well worth the visit, just don't expect gourmet dining ( you can pay a lot more for that further down the South Bank if you wish).
