Nearest tube Leicester Square, Piccadilly and Northern lines. Open from 9am-9pm Monday to Saturday. Sundays open 11:30-6pm. You can browse on Sunday from 11:30, or whenever else you feel like it. There is a cafe, which closes 45 minutes before the shop. I was here for some keyboard music, and they had musical scores of pieces I had not heard of. The foreign language selection is also most impressive, and the travel section has over 100,000 items. It is a lovely shop with knowledgeable staff.

Foyles is the place for any bookaphobe. On many floors it is a maze of joy. Lifts to all floors. Cafe on the top is excellent. Millions have come here over the years. Now completely refurbished it is brill. Turn left out the door and just a short walk to Oxford Street.

Have found toilets by the cafe not brilliant on two visits lately. Small issue! Highly recommended but I was going there 50 years ago as a student so perhaps I am a little bias? NO!

World known as a great bookstore, this huge building did indeed have an extensive selection of titles. Impressive, but somehow underwhelming. Perhaps the buildup created to high an expectation. Definitely worth a visit.

What a gorgeous shop. One of the largest bookshops I've visited and with one of the most vast and varied selection of books.

I have never seen anything like that ! The Nirwana for book lovers ! I knew that the British had a penchant for reading, but this surpasses anything that I could imagine. Even for non-book lovers, I suggest that you just throw an eye inside; you will probably stay for a while
