“Beautiful place along the Southbank”
Reviewed June 10, 2013

My family and I were walking along the Southbank from the London Bridge to the Tower Bridge and we chanced upon the Hay's Galleria. I absolutely loved the glorious glass and steel roof, and there was a funky metal sculpture in the centre. We didn't stop to shop but there were several cafes to sit and rest at whilst enjoying the beautiful views of the Tower of London and the "Gherkin" opposite. Lovely place to explore.

“An oasis on the South Bank”
Reviewed June 5, 2012

We found Hays Galleria while walking along the South Bank- it being situated between London Bridge and Tower Bridge. Formerly a dock for Tea Clippers, it is now a shopping centre with a mix of outlets, and a central arcade covered by a stunning iron and glass canopy - has to be seen to be believed. Unfortunately we arrived at around closing time for most of the outlets, but from what we did see the prices were fair. We bought several items from a small newsagents at the southern end - a packet of cigarettes for around £6.50, two bottles of pop (£1.25 each) and a golf-size umbrella for £7. Four AA duracell batteries for our camera cost £6 (more expensive than a supermarket but not bad for a London newsagents! The architecture itself is amazing and the pub next to the river seemed quite busy for the time of evening. Will certainly look in on this place again when in the area.

“Best place for London-T-shirts & handy waiting place near sights”
Reviewed April 21, 2010

If you don't want to get ripped off in souvenir shops or at the airport, check out this beautiful place. Apart from being such an elegant structure it's glass roof means you can hang around and stay dry while you are waiting for your folks to finish visiting the London Dungeon across the road.Starbucks prices are the same as other London outlets, but the t-shirts and baked potatoes (yummmy) are cheaper.
