“Best Pho in London”
Reviewed February 8, 2014 via mobile

I won't say much and I'll just let Thanh Binh's great service and amazing pho speak for its self. It's so fresh and the cook doesn't put sugar in it like other places. I've ate my fair share of pho and this hands down is the best I've had. I even asked for the biggest bowl they had and they filled it up, no issues. Will come back again if I'm back in London.

Thank Vincent P

This tiny restaurant is always busy. Great food and basic cafe style restaurant. Fast and friendly waiting staff.

“Great soup noodles!”
Reviewed January 27, 2014

Located on Chalk Farm Road between Chalk Farm Tube station and Camden Town Tube station, the restaurant is nestled quietly, inconspicuously with the menus displayed prominently on the windows.

We stopped at this restaurant after finding that the restaurant we wanted to go to in Stables Market was closed. We were a little disappointed at not being to go to the restaurant we had actually made reservations for. It was when we chanced upon Thanh Binh and the menu caught our eyes. We found the restaurant small and cosy, not very big interior but certainly comfortable for the both of us as it wasn’t very crowded on a Sunday evening. The nearest tube station would be Camden Town and is only 5min away.

Vietnamese food is healthy if you order the right dishes. There are deep fried dishes, steamed dishes, stir fried, and soups. My personal preference is the soups and that’s what we went for when we had a look at the menu. The pho bo (flat rice noodles with beef) was a no brainer and we went straight for that. Pho bo vien for additional beef meatballs. My other half had the pho ga (chicken) The soup is authentic Vietnamese and a side dish of mint, parsley, bean sprouts, lime and cut chilli was served together. We also had the summer spring rolls which were filled with prawns, rice noodles and mint leaves. These spring rolls are wrapped in steamed rice paper and provide a healthier alternative to the deep fried ones. Vietnamese coffee is a must if you're dining in a Vietnamese restaurant. The quantity was a little small for the price stated but this is a classic drink not to be missed.

The price you will be paying for the food and drink is certainly much higher than what you would be paying in Vietnam, but this is a place away from Vietnam and authentic ingredients are hard to come by. A little Vietnamese food pampering is in order for this exotic cuisine.

Overall 4 stars for a good dining experience. Will be back for more soup noodles.

“Great lunch and dinner!!”
Reviewed January 22, 2014

In a middle of Camden Town and this Vietnamese restaurant has been there for over 20 years with the same madam owner. It is not a large restaurant but their Vietnamese noodle (Pho ga) and the Vietnamese deep fried spring rolls are always excellent. Some dishes are Chinese-ish but stick to very Vietnamese dishes then you can not go wrong. Been going to this restaurant for over 15 years now and the quality of food is always stable. Good for both family and friends.

“Great vietnamese food at a good price”
Reviewed November 30, 2013

Went with a friend. Loved the spring rolls. Shared several starters, liked them all. Best vietnamese I've had in London, at very reasonable prices.
