After a long day travelling to London to watch later live with jools holland at the BBC studios, we couldn't believe our eyes when we turned up to our so called "hotel". Although we left finding a room last minute we didn't expect to turn up to a building site. There was a skip on the front drive, workmen everywhere and when we were relaxing in our room the door flew open with a workman saying he's going to make some manual changes to the room! Privacy was ruined we were even scared to leave any personal belongings just incase the workers had a snoop! Worst hotel I have ever been too! Very rude staff

myself and my family were due to stay at the hotel Saturday night. When we arrived, we couldn't believe our eyes, there is a skip outsiade and workmen everywhere, the windows on the first floor were being replaced, and all the glass was outside on the drive. The parking was a good mile away. When we went inside, no one was at the reception desk (if you could call it that) then a lady arrived and when we asked if it was a hotel she just looked at us and shouted up the stairs. The owner then came down, I really wasn't convinced it was a hotel, only until he confirmed my reservation. We looked at the room and decided to cancel our stay. The owner just said what do you expect with a discounted price!!!!!!

I have stayed in quite a few budget hotels in the Shepherds Bush and this one is probably the best. In general the place does feel a bit DIY but the rooms are always clean and the ensuite facilities decent. Rooms at the front of the hotel are a little noisy as Wood Lane is a busy road.

This place should be shut down.
Stayed at the Abbey Hotel Sept 2011. The only hotel I have ever stayed at that did not have tea and coffee facilities (manager used current renovations as excuse - go figure). TV did not work, pillows were more like sacks, and the bathroom was closet like although new, and the phone could not be used to access outside lines (despite this listed as a feature along with tea/coffee facilities). Staff were friendly although more out of apology than anything. Hotel should be renamed "Shabby Hotel". Definitely not of three star standard as reputed.
At 76 pounds per night it was a rip off. Disapointing.

Room Tip: Give it a miss.

Iv never done this before but this place is something else. I appreciate that it's a budget hotel but it really was bad!
To start with the parking is a good 35 minute walk away(not mentioned on the website.) The women who works there was really rude and unhelpful. The whole place is filthy, I had to sleep fully dressed from fear of getting bitten, not sure if the bathroom had ever been cleaned.
The breakfast was really bad... There was some cold toast which i think had been toasted several days before using a cigarette lighter, there was a very small glass of juice and a croissant. The table cloth looked like it was about to walk off! It was quite comical really.
Definitely wouldn't stay again!

I have stayed at this Hotel many many times over the last 20 yrs. Sebastian the owner is very helpful and its a friendly place situated in the heart of Shepherds Bush. (If you stay there go to the nearby "PATIO restraunt" the finest food ive ever tasted from a Polish restraunt with a window full of good news reviews. Abbey Hotel has been the location for many stays with both work and pop concerts. Led Zeppelin reunion concert and Cardiff City Wembley trips. It has to play safe so you pay in advance which is normal in London. Its clean, airy and friendly & if you are a reasonable person you will be more than happy. Parking is a problem with many London locations and I guess the solution is OK whilst not the best. I really fell in love with this Hotel and its been adopted by many of us from Wales. This has not gone unnoticed by the owners who always give us a great Welcome. Stay there a few times get to know the owners - they are the salt of the earth !and have often gone out of their way to help our stays be enjoyable. They own another Hotel also. Good luck Sabastian "Abbey Hotel is the Best !! !!

The situation of the B & B (that's being generous!) was handy being opposite The Westfield Shpping Centre and BBC studios. The sheets were clean, but the rest felt filthy. The walls were grotty and chipped as was the furniture. No toiletries and towels like sandpaper. Breakfast consisted of 3 cold croissants and cold toast. The coffee was disgusting despite putting milk in which was begrudgingly given. We were spoken to rudely and asked if we had finished as other people were waiting. People next to us were given mouldy toast which they refused. Luckily we were only booked for 1 night and had we not had an engagement I would have found elsewhere.
