“Helpful hosts and a lovely setting”

I really enjoyed staying here. Bridget's restaurant suggestions were very good, especially Sufi and Adams Cafe. It was nice to come back to this quiet, leafy street after a day in the busy city. Since Stamford Brook is on the District line, you have pretty easy access to most of the tourist sites. The rental is well-appointed and very comfortable. As a single woman, I felt quite safe even though I was returning late at night. I would definitely stay here again.

“Good place to stay when visiting London”

We booked to stay at this apartment through TripAdvisor. The booking process was effortless and the owners, Bruno and Bridget were very prompt with their replies. We arranged for a minicab to pick us up from Heathrow, as we had a fair amount of luggage, but one can also take the Tube (cheaper option) to Stamford Brook Station and walk to the apartment. Bruno gives detailed instructions on how to get there when the final payment has been made.

The apartment is really an annex to the main house, with its own gate and entrance. Bridget, Bruno and their family live in the main house and can easily be contacted by phone, e-mail or by knocking on their door if there is a problem (there was none). Bridget and Bruno give the impression that they are keen to make their guests stay as hassle free as possible.

The apartment is in a good quiet neighbourhood. The bedroom is fairly spacious and the bed is king sized and comfortable. There are no cupboards for clothes, but there is a stand with hangers to hang clothes. There are good bedside lamps for reading. The WiFi strength is excellent.

The bathroom is spacious and the shower strength is good with ample hot water. Shampoo, conditioner and even shaving foam is provided.

The kitchen and dining area is very small and this was the only negative aspect of the apartment. The small dining table is a bit shaky. The sink is at one corner and the electric convention stove is very small. We only cooked one meal here. Cooking oil was not provided but I am sure that the owners would have let us have some if we had asked. There is salt, sugar and coffee (both instant and ground). The coffee plunger has seen better days.

There is a washing machine which is a real bonus. Washing liquid is provided, which was great.

Public transport is available close to the apartment. The No 94 bus is a few minutes away and goes all the way to Piccadilly Circus. It is just a short (10 mins) walk to Stamford Brook station (District Line).

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment and would recommend it.

“As good as it gets !”

We thoroughly enjoyed this accommodation. It suited our needs completely. Its a lovely location, typical English leafy road. The nearest tube is Stamford Brook which is a 10 - 15 minute walk, and one should definitely purchase an Oyster travel card ( the owner will elaborate ) We sometimes came back after 11pm and felt very safe, a good quiet neighbourhood. The flat has its own front door, the kitchen was completely equipped and the owner had kindly provided his own freshly baked bread, a bottle of wine, fresh coffee and the usual essentials. Complete attention to detail had been given to this flat. The microwave and the hob were simple to use. Its a great location that once on the tube took twenty minutes to get to the centre of London. Also a Westfield a short bus journey away. The owner was extremely courteous and most helpful. Thank you Bruno for a lovely few days, we hope to come back next year.

“Better than "home"”
Reviewed June 8, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Very welcoming, comfortable, quiet and cozy!! We had a lovely time here and the home-made bread that Bridget prepared for us, plus the few items stocked in the 'fridge was a REALLY nice touch!! It's a very short walk to the "tube" and some pubs (for local cuisine) and I would highly recommend staying here!!

“A peaceful haven in a busy holiday!”
Reviewed May 26, 2016 for a stay in May 2016

We booked this accommodation based on price, location and previous reviews. It certainly lived up to our expectations. After booking, communication with the owners was first class, and we were given plenty of information regarding travel and access.

Having been met by both Bruno and Bridget, we were thoroughly delighted with the cleanliness and decor of the property. The welcome pack of provisions was a lovely touch, the cider and beer in particular were very welcome on what was a warm day after travelling from Glasgow! The kitchen was very well equipped and we had plenty of towels, bedding etc. The shower is exceptional...spacious, lots of hot water and very good water pressure!!!

We chose to stay here as the transport links to the centre of London are exceptional, but the property is far enough away that it's quiet and peaceful. The tube station is minutes walk away, the nearby 94 bus service is exceptional and runs all night. We used both at different times, having bought ourselves Oyster cards for convenience. It's worth noting that London buses do not take cash payments, so some form of contactless payment method (credit/debit card or mobile device) or a travel pass is required. Made life much easier all round.

As the studio is part of the main house (but with an entirely separate access door to the side of the main property), we felt like we had the best of both worlds. Bridget and Bruno were around if we had needed them, and we were given lots of contact information, but they were never intrusive. This was exactly the right balance for us. We were very kindly invited in for a drink, but our hectic schedule meant that we missed the opportunity to do this. As we hope to return in the future, we will almost certainly take them up on their invitation next time! :)

Highly recommended!

Liked best: The shower is fantastic!
Liked least: The heating is linked to the main house, so a small heater (for a short blast occasionally) would have been useful. But a minor point.

“Very comfortable close to public transport”
Reviewed March 25, 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Cosy apartment near restaurants, shops and public transport. Bruno and Bridget were more than accommodating. They provided tea, coffee, all the regular stuff but Bridgette also brought a loaf of home made bread, delicious.

The apartment is in a safe neighborhood and we felt safe walking at night. Bus stop to connect with all London is a few blocks away with very frequent buses.
