Excellent show, although I won't go as far as some other reviewers to rate the best musical ever. Get there as soon as they open the doors, half hour before curtain time, and hang out at the bar on stage. You will become part of the opening, great fun to see a show from the other side. Don't worry, you won't be asked to do anything. Then when the show proper starts you'll be sent to your seats to enjoy the show itself. Bittersweet love story with great music.

I looooved Once more than any other musicals I have seen. It was so easy to connect with the characters in the production. I went on a slow night and was upgraded which was also nice.

Make sure you show up early! The music starts when the doors open for seating.

I saw the Graham Norton show were Once was plugged live at the end of the show and based on that short performance decided to book tickets.

This isn't your usual commercial musical where you and the entire audience know the words to every song. This is raw talent singing a story you can laugh and cry to and also be completely drawn into.

The performances were all amazing, with raw talent especially by the two leads, Declan Bennett, whose voice should be bottled and sold for a small fortune and his sometimes, eclipsing talent of Zrinka Cvitešić, whose harmonies can elicit a silent, rolling tear of mesmerising wonderment. Sometimes the leads can carry a show but in this case the performances of all the cast complement and each add their own character to the entire production making it one of the most memorable performances on a West End show in a very long time.

I went to see this production weekend - was great! Loved the fact that the whole cast played an instrument. When you get there go for a drink on stage!

I had seen the film Once which this is based on sometime ago and had been struck by the simplicity of the story and the powerful emotional kick it carried.

The musical sticks pretty close to the film but somehow manages to be considerably more powerful. Knowing the ending I was nevertheless caught up all the way through as the two main characters navigate their budding friendship while interacting with the various characters on stage. The actors all play their own instruments and the musicianship on stage is beautiful and at times quite haunting. Credit must go to the two leads Declan Bennett and Zrinka Cvitesic whose beautiful performances pulled the audience in resulting in a entirely deserved and noisy standing ovation - and a few tears!
