Description: The Cornerstone Cafe is based on the historic Royal Arsenal in Woolwich. Our aim is to provide a friendly, well designed cafe catering to the demands of the local residential and business community. To us this means great coffee, a wide variety of loose leaf teas and British made cold drinks. On the food front we make nearly 100% of our delicious food in house. We've a lovely deli section which can be eaten in or taken away throughout the day including many delicious cakes. We have cooked breakfasts through to 3pm and hot meals until 3pm. We do takeaway ready meals throughout the week (just need to heat up at home. At the weekend we do Brunch throughout the day on the Saturday and on Sundays until 3pm. Our menus are on the website. Free WIFI, child friendly and always ready to help. Cafe design by Paul Croft Studios.

We've just moved from the Royal Arsenal, which is a shame because we really love this lovely cafe! They serve great food (excellent meatballs!), have a good selection of desserts (including gluten-free cakes!), and provide super friendly service. They also used to do a program with take-home meals to reheat but sadly, I think they've stopped doing that (we enjoyed that very much as the cafe is very conveniently located on the path home from the train station, and the fliers we received made it easy to decide which nights to get the meals). The ambiance is also very nice--the cafe is in a light and airy former Arsenal building. Pay them a visit--you will not be disappointed!

I am now a regular at the Cornerstone Cafe. From the first time i visited, the food surpassed all expectations. As a vegetarian there isn't a great deal of choice in the local community but Cornerstone offers a great selection of pies, tartes and salads which are all freshly made and extremely tasty! I can recommend the breakfasts too, especially the eggs florentine. Great place!

We visit the Cornerstone on a weekly basis for Saturday brunch. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and always ask how you are. The food is delicious, we are big fans of the breakfast/brunch menu. We often bring family and friends who also comment on how great the food is, my Dad is a big fan of the sausage rolls (with baked beans!). The Cafe also offer a wonderful (and strong) cup of coffee! We have also tried the Heat at Home meals which are convenient and tasty! The Cornerstone Cafe is such a gem in the Arsenal and never fails to get our weekend off to a very happy start! :) Thank you!

We lunched here recently prior to visiting Firepower. Both of us had the veggie version of the fry up, with sausage (extra?) and a pot of tea each. A nice place, very much a cafe, we sat outside in the sunshine and it was a real faff indeed before we received our food. With the owner coming out after an age with the age old ploy of bringing out our cutlery and assuring us that it wouldn't be much longer, hmm. However, when it did eventually arrive it was very good indeed, large portions of very well cooked food, and scrambled egg cooked to absolute moist perfection. So well worth the wait then, even if a tad pricey.

This little gem is far more than just a cafe. The friendly staff make it a pleasure to eat breakfast, brunch, lunch or tea ( and you can take ready cooked meals home and pretend you cooked them yourself) Chill out, read the free papers, use the free wi-fi and enjoy! The food is yummy and the new chef doesn't disappoint
