Used a voucher deal that included a glass of champagne. I noticed the champagne was not a brand that they served on the main wine list and felt this was slightly cheap! However, the starters of tuna and goats cheese and the mains of salmon and chicken were very good. My husbands dessert sauce was burnt but this was changed and this tasted a bit better. my dessert of apple creme brulee was very poor. The waiter asked if I liked it at which I replied no, and he proceeded to tell us that they had had complaints that it had tasted too eggy before so the recipe had been change. What a load of rubbish, as a creme brulee is supposed to be set, not sloopy and runny., if it tastes of egg it has not been made properly! However, I was not offered a substitute.
It was in nice casual surroundings and the staff were ok but it was slightly unprofessional at times.
