Owner description: We've got all the hot acts on the London live comedy circuit, and a dangerously cheap bar to boot. Summer 2014 at TSCC means that at 7pm you can come along and see an Edinburgh preview show with free entry. Enjoy the magic of the Edinburgh Festival without leaving Zone 1! Our main show starts at 8.15pm and finishes by 10.45pm and we are open every day except Christmas! Every show has two intervals. Mondays is RAW New Material night, with 6 professional comedians trying out some freshly baked gags. Tuesdays is improv from the Time Out-recommended Shoot From The Hip. Wednesdays to Sundays is business as usual, with a stand-up show featuring the absolute creme de la creme of the acts on the London circuit. The bar! Just wait until you hear about the bar. Pints are from £3.50, vino from £3.30 and spirits + mixer is £3.70. We have Pringles and nuts, but if you want something more substantial, there's a pizza place upstairs where you can get 2 for the price of 1, and have the pizza brought down to you to eat in the comedy club. NB: Line ups are subject to last minute changes, best rest assured that all of our line ups (no matter how changed) will always be of a top class quality. Under 18s can attend but with a guardian, but prepare to hear some naughty jokes.

What a find this place is. Its only a few quid and the drinks are cheapest around. But it's the comedy acts that bring you back . Act's trying new stuff and seasoned pro's off tv coming in and giving amazing value for money. The club is moving to 170 DRURY LANE Covent Garden so get down there, fabulous night out .

Wow, me and my partner enjoyed a day out to londons cramming many different things (london dungeons, Thames cruise, west end show, lunch) But this was by far the best thing of the day!

£5 a ticket & £12 a jug of carlsberg (4 pints) great value too!

The host Josephine lacey (the owner?) absoluty amazing!
The headliner for the night was none other than Shappi Khorsandi (live at the apollo, mock the week e.t.c) excellent comedians all night!

Will return next time im in london! (to your new location)

A bit of a dingy cellar club, but it more than makes up for this with the entertainment and the lovely warm welcome you will receive in this wonderful club... can't wait to return xx ...ooohhh and some brilliant NEW acts as well.

We had been visiting London for the day and ended up in the Covent Garden area where we picked up a leaflet for this comedy club. Whilst eating at a nearby restaurant, we decided, on a whim, to give it a go.

This isn't an upmarket place: you enter through a s grubby passage and some slightly precarious stairs. The venue itself is a slightly tatty basement with small stage surrounded by chairs, and a small bar up at one end near the entrance.

The place is, however, full of charm. The beer is cheap, and the small, enthusiastic staff do everything from selling entrance tickets to manning the bar, operating the sound and lights and announcing the acts. The beer is good and cheap, but they don't do food of any sort, so make sure you eat before you go in. Interestingly one group ordered a take-out pizza which they had delivered and ate during the show.

There were 3 acts plus a compère who did turns between each act, and all were excellent. The crowd lapped it up, and we had a great time. None of the acts were known to us, but that was to be expected from the size of the venue and the entrance price. It also meant the acts were fresh and funny. From the photos around the place, it looked like a lot of well-known acts had performed there in the past, presumably before they became household names.

This place is thoroughly recommended if you want a cheap (for London) fun evening out in Central London. Just remember to eat before you go.
