Delicious tapas, nice wine et great atmosphere. For sure, that's not fine food but the products are good and the cooker is talented. Whatever, I love thise place!

Visited twice - were very impressed with food, service and atmosphere the first time. The second time the food was ok but not amazing. We especially didn't like the tuna carpaccio, and everything else was just ok. The highlights from the first time were croquette board, chorizo lollipops and beef tataki. Perhaps you just have to know what to order!

Visited Tinto last night with some friends celebrating a birthday. The food is really delicious, we shared 10 different dishes, to mention a few, Homemade croquets board, Padron peppers,Chorizo a la Sidra y romero, Pigs Cheeks, plenty of choice for vegetarians. Drinks ae 2 for 1 until 7pm during the week. They have a good verity of wines and cocktails to choose from. Julia the French girl who server us was extremely helpful and friendly, would definitely visit here again.

We went for dinner with great expectations due to the reviews. The food and wine were good, we tried 6 tapas more on the fish side but none of them was wow though. Although I usually do not eat fried food I found interesting the beetroot croquette and If I have to mention one dish I would say that the paella was tasty.
We did not have dessert. Dishes were well presented.
The waitresses were all very sweet & friendly however I realized when leaving that my jacket folded in one of the empty chair had the gambas and garlic sauce all over. Not the best of surprises however it could have been my friend's fault who was keeping saying arigato to the Japaneese one and she kept bending to answer.

Relaxing atmosphere.

Tinto has become one of our local favourites. Pierre, the proprietor and his wife offer you an excellent variety of wines and an interesting and eclectic menu consisting of delicious tapas( the bellotta iberico ham is a highlight) and there are hot dishes such as braised pork cheek and beautifully flavoured fish dishes and even some Japanese dishes such as gyozas and beef tataki.(Pierre's wife is Japanese) We always choose a variety of these small dishes for sharing. Pierre is always on hand to give advice about the wines and holds regular wine tastings.
Tinto is just off the main drag of Upper St and its myriad restaurants (many are chains). This isn't. It's the real deal and worth the tiny detour.
