Delicious fresh home cooked food, friendly staff, small and rustic setting.. Could almost be in Italy! If you're nearby definitely well worth a visit

“Excellent value for money”
Reviewed August 24, 2013

Second time I visited this one.... A real gem, good home cooked Italian food to a friendly price... It can take max around 30 people.. We were 3 of us on a Friday night.... We all had starter, main course and two bottles of excellent Chianti wine Coffee and drinks at the end.... All this for £ 115.... Can't complain about that

“Lucky find”
Reviewed June 5, 2013

Staying in a hotel nearby and walking in an unknown area we all hope to find a really nice place. This is it; if you fancy a small (as in very small) seemingly picture perfect traditional Italian. Wooden floor, I would guess family owned, great simple food and house wine that is more than drinkable in a setting that looks like a t.v play of a what a small Italian restaurant looks like. The other small thing was the bill.

“Keep going back”
Reviewed March 31, 2013

Smallish friendly Italian restaurant. We have been to this restaurant a number of time and the food is always great. You are made to feel welcome from when you first come in. Food is tasty and value for money. Will keep going back for more and our friends always suggest we go there for a Saturday night meal.

“A warm friendly local restaurant”
Reviewed March 5, 2013

We have been regular customers of Giacomo's for ten years now and it has never failed to please. The warm welcome, good food and generous portions, keep us and a lot of other people, coming back. The atmosphere is relaxed and the menu, including the daily specials, are varied. They do go out of their way to deliver want people want. On a recent lunchtime visit, with a friend who was Gluten intolerant, they not only offered a choice of Gluten free pasta's, but Gluten free bread if wanted. Evenings at the weekends can be busy as with most restaurants and booking is advised. Lunchtimes are quieter and benefit from a lunchtime menu deal. Giacomo's has a web site which gives further details. www.giacomos.co.uk Highly recommended.
