This is nice for a tea store. Lots of variety and some special blends you can't find in supermarkets. They also have a sampling bar which was very good and the servers know their teas!

Calling it a museum however is a bit of a stretch. They had a few old posters and knick knacks

If you enjoy tea, then the Twinings Tea Shop is a must-see. Yes, the building is small and narrow, and the location is a bit of a walk from Charing Cross tube station, but definitely worth a visit for its old-world charm. There are numerous tea selections available to compare if you are not sure which to purchase. The museum is also filled with interesting photos and history of Twinings, making the visit even more worthwhile. Highly recommended for the large selection of tea, gifts, and tea pots, in addition to the Twinings museum, all in one small location.

If you are cold, tea will warm you; if you are too heated, it will cool you; if you are depressed, it will cheer you; if you are excited it will calm you. So said William Ewart Gladstone but which tea should you drink? Obviously the one that most appeals to you.

By going to Twinings Tea shop you will have the opportunity of finding out which suits you from the many on display.

Not only are they on display but you can spend ages sniffing each of the tea sample jars until your senses are sniffed out. Although not available at the time of my visit I am told you can even sample some teas.

This is a surprisingly narrow and long shop and so there might be some difficulty with wheelchairs although such chairs certainly could gain access and move around.

At the end of the shop is the museum which is interesting and an area where tea is served.

For those who are really wanting to know more about tea, Twinings have Tea Masterclasses where you are told about the many kinds of tea and get to sample many of them. These classes cost £30 per person and you can book them by telephone.

Although perhaps not on the main tourist trail this is for those wishing to learn about one of the mainstays of englishness, Twinings Tea shop is a must.

I have come here many times. Get a magazine called London planner its free in most hotels.
You get a free voucher for a box of 10 tea. I came here you can also buy tea bags 15p but you must buy 15 from the mix and pick you also get 2 more for free comes in a nice gift bag. The museum was great showing the history of twinings tea. There also a free tea samples to try. Would I come back? Yes!!!
