Description: Tucked away in the corner of Grosvenor Square, The Luggage Room draws on the spirit of the Roaring Twenties. It’s an intimate London Cocktail bar, effortlessly oozing style and decadence. Amid the fine liquor displays, handmade wine cabinets and period curiosities, you can watch while cobblers, cups and punches are carefully created around you. In the 1920s the infamous ‘Bentley Boys’ would turn heads in glamorous Mayfair. Bars would buzz to the sound of jazz and the in-crowd would sip Highballs and Martinis in their own inimitable style. Crafted to charm and delight our Mayfair bar has a nod towards the nostalgia for the past with its feet firmly in the present.

“Glamourous intimate cocktails”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 2, 2013

Really nice little hotel bar but much more intimate and characterful than most. Only came for a quick after work drink on a Monday so it was quiet but definitely not empty. We were welcomed with complimentary drinks and nibbles on arrival. Even though drinks aren't cheap they aren't over priced. The service was attentive and friendly with a nice cosy, relaxed atmosphere. We loved the luggage styled interior and the 1920's music!

“Beautiful bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

What a lovely place - it felt a bit like Harry's bar in Venice without the buzzy atmosphere unfortunately. I went last night (Friday) and there was only 7 other people there so I didn't stay long. Really beautifully done and great service.

“Great spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

From the speak easy entrance requiring a knock to the cozy seating and great jazz, this place was a real treat. Excellent drinks and attentive service rounded out our visit.

“Great pre/post dinner jaunt”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Having to knock on the door for entry may seem a barrier, but adds to the notion of exclusivity. That degree of seclusion is favourably contrasted by the pleasant welcome of staff, who seem to have wanted you to find the place all along.

Inside, it is active but relatively quiet and the prohibition-era mood is strengthened by the bar staff attire and 1920s soundtrack.

Now to the bottom line. The cocktails are lovely - there is an intriguing degree of choice, but not too much. Those we ordered were well conceived, nicely balanced and went down well.

Food was average, but to be fair we only ordered a few sides to nibble.

All in all - welcoming service, characterful atmosphere and tasty drinks. Why not?

“Upscale drinks, upscale price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 21, 2013

Stopped in for before dinner drinks with 7 business associates. Beautiful assortment of signature cocktails, an impressive line up of whiskeys, and a nice wine list with good wines by the glass. The bartenders were attentive, knowledgable and friendly.
