“Characterful and welcoming”
Reviewed December 17, 2012

Wish we had bars like this in the Oxford area is all I can say! The hams hanging as decorations added to the authenticity. I should have drank sherry like my colleagues but enjoyed the white wine served in unusual flat bottomed glasses instead. I can't comment on the value or costs as it was a work Christmas event but I would definetly return for tapas when in that part of London.

“Fabulous Spanish ham”
Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

Tucked away in Rope Walk, better known as Maltby Street market, this must be the best place to eat real jamón in London accompanied by a beer, sherry or wine and of course some friends. A great choice of ham and other charcuterie, Spanish cheese and a few other tapas too in a friendly atmosphere just a short walk from Bermondsey Street.

“Something Different-What an Experience!”
Reviewed November 15, 2012

Unpretentious atmosphere with a simple menu offering first rate Spanish hams and cheeses washed down by chilled sherry, rioja or Spanish beer. There are not many taste sensations that can match the Jamon Joselito Gran Reserva they serve.
The staff are friendly and engaging and it's an education watching the master carvers at work on the legs of ham. Can't wait to go back.
Best to check opening hours prior to visiting.
