Description: 'If a city gets the restaurants is deserves then London has clearly been a very good girl of late. [Hawksmoor Air Street] is everything you woud want it to be and quite a bit more.' Jay Rayner, Observer Located in an Art Deco room overlooking Regent Street, the menu at Hawksmoor Air Street is equally-weighted between steak and seafood. We've teamed up with Mitch Tonks, the chef/owner of one of the best seafood restaurants in the country, to mastermind the fish side of things, not least by ensuring that we receive the freshest produce possible straight from Brixham market in Devon. Close to the theatres of the West-End, we have an Express Menu that's perfect for lunch, pre-theatre and post-theatre dinners. The entrance to the restaurant is on the short stretch of Air Street between Piccadilly and Regent Street. Air Street is the perfect space for a wide range of events including award ceremonies, film premiere parties and cocktail receptions. It can accommodate up to 235 people in the restaurant and 70 in the bar. For more information on private hire and events, please contact our events team.

Highly over-rated and very expensive. Monkfish was tasty but over-priced as was my colleagues steak. I will try the City branch once just to make sure!

This is a place with a menu designed to appeal to every indulgence. I could have eaten everything. We had deep fried queenie scallops and the crab on toast followed by a rib of beef about which we had long discussions with our waiter about the cut and weight of meat. It was perfectly pink and just right. 900grams between 3 guys. Even some left for the pug. The gratin with anchovies was fab though I think chips were more successful. Creamed and fresh spinach with oil and lemon were faultless. Wines were good value though not very familiar. We had a Cote de Bordeaux for £30 which was delicious and well priced. The interior reminded me of the Ivy and also the well trained staff who had the same amazing courtesy but in a much more informal way.

Had lunch yesterday and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. The restaurant itself is gorgeous ( Art Deco style) and the food was amazing. Our waitress was very helpful in suggesting both the food and wine. Whilst it's not cheap the food is worth it and the portions are very large. I wouldn't recommend it for people with small appetites though.
We had the scallops and ribs to start and then rib eye and d- rib steaks to share between us and I couldn't have fitted anything else in!
Have already booked to come back again.

Having previously eaten at the Hawksmoor restaurant in Covent Garden, we were keen to try this relatively new establishment, just off Regent Street.
Our beef was still ordered by weight, and served sliced, ready to share, but we also added fish, beautifully prepared. Everything about this place is top class - the quality of the food came up to expectations (and our expectations were extremely high), the service was appropriate, and the atmosphere was classy, without being "over the top".
Booking is recommended, although on the Tuesday night we were there it was not full and this location seems massive.
If in doubt check out the media reviews - they will most likely be shouting its praises.
