We booked the only hours before we arrived, we had an urgent 4 nights trip to London when almost everything was full in London. I've called the hotel before to make sure we could check-in after midnight, because we had a very late flight, the receptionist was nice and helpful and said that if we have any problems to get there at night we should call him to ask for a cab.
We arrived after 2:00am and the guy was still there, it's not such nice area (but not a bad one). The fact that this small hotel has lights on to street all night and someone there all the time was very helpful.
The rooms in the bottom floor (more like a basement) had some damp smell and we didn't want to stay in one of them, the only room available in the ground floor was "Luxury" which is a standard room in any other hotel with a decent size bed. They charged an extra 5GBP a night for this room, but it was better than the standard room they showed us, which was very small with 140cm wide bed.
They have an area in the entrance of the hotel where there are tables and chairs, and open all the time. There is coffee, tea, milk, bread, butter and honey free to use whenever you want. there is also microwave, toaster and a giant fridge that anyone can use to store food in, so you can buy yourself a take-away dinner or lunch and sit there to eat and even reheat the leftovers if you care to do so.
There is also a free WIFI which was very helpful.
All and all it's an OK place if you plan to be out all day shopping and sight-seeing, and just want a place to come back to sleep and shower.

Room Tip: Ask for the Luxury room and no matter what ask to be on the ground floor or first floor.

The location is OK, 10-15 mins by walk from Stratford tube station. The area of the hotel is not the nicest, it´s a bit run-down. There are a few shops and a Tesco just a few meters from the hotel.

The room was clean, the value is very good by London standards. No air con, fridge or tea/coffee making facilities, but I think everyone can use the kitchen area at the reception. There´s a flat screen TV and free wifi in the room.

Overall this is an OK hotel, clean and good value for the money in London with good location, but don´t expect too much or that ,extra mile, for the guests.

The arrival of the Olympics had clearly set off a sequence of converting properties in Stratford into hotels and this is a converted shop. A bit tatty outside now and the picture on the website was taken at night for a reason - this is a bit of a run-down area

Good comfortable bed and functional room (20) but only 2 clothes hangers and certainly not luxury as claimed. Room wasn't cleaned everyday. However, for the money no complaints at all. Very small bathroom but the room is at the end of a corridor so it was quiet, despite being on a busy main road.

There are no tea making facilities in the room or even a beaker for a drink (second hotel ever in my experience not do this - first time was last week also in Stratford) so I went to the local Tesco and bought some. The hotel doesn’t do breakfast despite the fact that the website says "bed and breakfast" but there is a kitchen area and a fridge to make your own. These facts should be advertised correctly on the website so you can prepare for it. Couldn’t see anywhere local that did breakfast and not sure I would eat locally anyway.

Staff seemed friendly if a bit preoccupied at times .

I picked this hotel for the location and price – work is easily accessible by train from Maryland and the cost of the room is very good by London standards I would consider it again for those reasons.

Room Tip: Take something to drink out of!

We arrived & the staff member must have been on the night shift. Trying to check in took some time as there seemed to be no organisation with bookings, just printed sheets of paper. Besides that, other staff were friendly & helpful. The room was small, but clean & modern and fantastic hot water. We stayed here for a week. It is only a 5 min walk to Stratford tube station and Westfield Shopping Centre. Lots of pubs & Restaurants near by. I would recommend to anyone wanting to see London but don't want to pay a fortune to stay in Central London.

We stayed at this hotel over the may bank holiday while visiting the area. It's a budget hotel so we didn't expect much but the room was very clean and modern, with a nice ensuite. There is a tv but no fridge. This wasn't a problem as there is a late night store directly outside and a Tesco metro next door. The location is very good as Maryland station 3 mins walk away and Stratford station, Westfield shopping center is 10mins walk away. From Stratford it is 10mins to central London on the tube. This is a good hotel to use a base to tour London from, it's good for sleeping in at the end of a day out but that's it. It obviously isn't a destination hotel (£80 per night!) but it's good value and convenient. The staff are very relaxed but I like that, they don't bother you with petty rules. I only want to deal with them on checking in and checking out and that's it. If you want 5* service and facilities you will have to pay £300 per night in London. But if want a convenient and clean room for the night for around £70 then this place is fine. I would stay again.

On New Years Eve my family and I went to the hotel, having booked four months previously one double, one 'luxury' double and a single. It turns out they only had a the single and the luxury double, which was just a standard room with 'luxury' written on it.
When we said that there was obviously a problem, all the man behind the desk did was sigh and moan and talk to us in another language. He then suggested that we use a duvet on the floor of one of the rooms to make up for the lack of another bed, offering us a discount of £30 if we did it (bearing in mind that the doubles were £80 and the single was £60).
When we refused, another room was booked at a local hotel at their expense. They moaned that the room cost £180 for the night for them- the room actually cost £90 a night, which we found out when we got there. He also showed us a room of the hotel that the extra people would be staying in- which was lovely to look at, but found that he had deliberately found a more luxurious hotel with the same name and was showing us pictures of that instead.

The man behind the desk really didn't care about our happiness. He did sort out another room for us, but so he should have done since we made the bookings four months previously!
