Happened to be in the area and someone said this place existed..... finding it was a chance glimpse at an unmarked door with a bag on it. The intrigue began.
Naturally we had to wait for a table on a Friday night, there's about 40 seats but the staff kept us updated and watered (20 minute wait). The service really was first class, thanks to the menu being either full, half or quarter chicken we ordered straight away. The sides are simply chips, coleslaw or a rather nice avocado salad. £4 for a small bowl of chips seems a little on the high side to me but they were bloody nice so what the hell eh!? The chicken is first class, i'm loathed to say it was the best i've ever had but it wouldn't be far off! And you sure get a lot of chicken for your half Due to alcohol we passed on the desert but from what i saw they looked lovely. Limited choice again, apple pie, chocolate brownie (was very tempting!) and something else that escapes me.
The bill was something like £19 each with beer and for the atmosphere, service and food that's a bargain in London. Probably not good for big groups though, anymore than 6 and you'd be struggling to get in, let Nando's have them, this place is perfect the way it is.
