“Return visit was a 'no-brainer'”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Second visit within 6 months & would think of staying nowhere else. Easy access to/from Blackfriars transport hub. The very good hostelry that is the Black Friar is very close by. Excellent for theatreland. A good night's sleep & a very good self-service breakfast. All boxes are well & truly ticked!

Stayed for two nights in early May, well situated and an easy walk from Blackfriars tube station. It was of the standard I have come to expect from Premier Inn. Good clean and well equipped rooms. The food is of a good standard and similar to all others. Free 30 mins wifi daily, otherwise you have to pay.

As with all hotels in this area it is in walking distance of the majority of sites, I certainly walked from the Hotel along to the London Eye, and then onto buckingham palace via the House of parliament.

All in all whilst there was nothing truly exceptional it was of the standard I have come to expect and it is no bad thing to know that you are staying in a reasonable place.

We came to London for a fun packed three days and the Premier Inn was a great start. We travelled by train and arrived early, before midday, thinking we'd be unable to check in until 2pm but a lovely gentleman on reception said we could check in immediately and took the time to show us how to check in on the automated system and explained everything we needed to know. Reception and staff is the first impression of a hotel and they did not disappoint they were excellent, smart, clean and so polite. The reception area was well appointed and clean. The room was modern clean and very smart with comfortable beds and a choice of firm or soft pillows.. and tea and coffee making facilities. Bathroom and shower were spotless. Everything was fresh and new probably because it only opened last September. This Premier Inn is just a short walk from Blackfriars station, across the road and just up past the small Tesco on the corner. Everywhere is within walking distance although you can catch buses and tubes. We walked to the Lyceum theatre in Wellington Road on Saturday night. The 'all you can eat' breakfast was amazing, everything you could possibly think off, and set us up until lunchtime. Again great service and lovely smart staff couldn't do enough for us. We were just walking distance from the Embankment and Southbank which is where everything is, the London Eye, The Dungeons, River Cruise (very recommended) International Food Festival, and plenty of activity going on. We had a very nice meal on Sunday night at the Premier Inn and it was very good. Again staff (Teresa) were helpful and polite. Monday we thought we had to check out at 1000 but were told 1200 and were told we could leave our luggage in a secure room as long as we wanted which gave us chance to enjoy the rest of Monday without dragging our luggage around. We walked to Oxford street, Hyde Park where we had lunch, and Buckingham Palace. Great Bank Holiday weekend thanks to Premier Inn.

stayed for 3 nights may 2013, only 5 mins walk from blackfriars tube and rail station turn right after exit of train station and it is on the same street as the tesco metro shop.useful for drinks and sandwiches which can save you a packet if travelling into the centre of london.
the hotel was built last year so all rooms are tip top clean and comfy. The bar serves a decent range of drinks and lager at £3.45 for carling stella at £3.75 a pint and is cheap compared to the local pubs which charge around £4.80. we had evening meal and were pleased with the quality and friendly service .ps need to book tho as it gets very busy.. the location is great for visiting london by tube but can also walk to westmister in around 20 min... st pauls cathedral ,old bailey, museum of london are all within 10 min walk.the globe theatre is just over blackfriars bridge.
We couldnt fault this hotel , the staff were friendly, rooms clean and the hotel is quiet which is mostly what visitors want.. highly recommended.

First time stayed at a Premier Inn and very impressed with the Blackfriars hotel. It's practically brand new and the staff are really laid-back but attentive and friendly. Just what you look for London after a busy day shopping. I have asked my family to stay here when thy visit in July.

Room Tip: Breakfast is hot and inviting!

Recommend premier inn for being good value.Stayed in a family room which was situated on lower ground floor which meant did not have to worry about our children disturbing others. Really helpful staff with my sons food allergies. Plenty of extra pillows & things to stop kids falling out of bed. Blackout curtains worked!. Good tv with several childrens channels. First time at premier inn but defiantly not the last.
