Visited on a Saturday afternoon in January.

On arrival we were told it would be a 45 minute wait for a table but we had all been looking forward to trying it we decided to stay. We were a party of 7 and as my son is a keen skateboarder I suggested that I would go outside with him to watch the skateboarders in the park underneath Wahaca we were told that we couldn't do this as we all had to stay in the bar upstairs while waiting for a table to become available. Thought this was a bit unfair and to be honest just a way of getting more money out of you for drinks. We sat upstairs which is very small and very very hot and got drinks from the bar while we waited for our table which was indeed ready in 45 mins.

Moved downstairs for our table a lot cooler downstairs.

We order the food and it all comes at different times as its made to order. I have to say it was well worth the wait and every single dish we had was absolutely delicious. Main course food was very reasonably price and only the drinks inflated the bill.

Overall delicious and would return maybe try the one in Covent Garden next time.

We were attending an early evening event at the National Theatre and were looking for something in the local area and when the wahaca building caught our eye from the innovative use of shipping containers. Going inside, the atmosphere was very relaxed and we were immediately taken to a table upstairs. Whilst not a big space, there was an amazing view over the River Thames. Our server was very enthusiastic, entertaining and helpful, giving us useful suggestions. The food arrived very quickly and our table was quickly full of beautiful food. We decded upon a sharing platter which for two of us was perfect and not too expensive. I can understand why this place gets so busy as there are not many tables and it is in a prime position. Anyone looking for a fun atmosphere and good, simple mexican food should definately try this place!

This was my first experience of Wahaca's new South Bank venue, and whilst the menu was less comprehensive, and the surroundings not as comfortable nor as spacious as their other restaurants, the staff were very helpful and friendly. An efficient queuing system for tables is operated whilst waiting at the bar upstairs and our table was available quicker than expected. We had a lovely view of the river whilst enjoying the dishes which were served at the rather small table.

A bit busy, more a "quick-in, quick-out" kind of place (except when your dessert takes forever to arrive whereas starters and main courses arrived in 5 minutes!), but nice anyway. Fabio, our waiter, was quite cool and attentive. If you eat a lot, it may get expensive.

Wanted to find a new venue for a business lunch, near to Waterloo and was not disappointed. Thought we may have to wait but not at all, friendly staff were attentive but not annoying. Took advice on what to order so we could get a good selection and from starters to cocktails it was all good. Value for money too. They just need to sort out the slippery ramp as you leave - nearly went over and nothing to do with cocktails!
