Really excellent concept - Mexican Street food served in a set of converted shipping containers! Urban chic, and Incredibly popular, no booking (buzzer system when your table is ready). We waited around an hour for a table, but there is a bar with excellent cocktails, and reasonably priced at around £6.

The restaurant is very casual and service is efficient. The street food comes in tapas sized portions, but there are full sized options too. Very tasty, quite spicy, interesting options, and very well priced. Our bill was less than £50 for two, including a bottle of wine, 6 street food portions, a full sized dish (we were still hungry after the tapas!) and one desert. My only criticism is that some of the dishes were only lukewarm when served.

Great concept, we will visit again no doubt.

We went here on a recommendation from our friend and was not disappointed. We had to wait 45 mins for a table, but we didn't mind that and had drinks at the bar upstairs. The cocktails absolutely were delicious, it was a shame there weren't more seats in the bar area though - we were one of the lucky few who managed to nab some stools.

We ordered from the tapas style menu and were amazed at how quickly it arrived and how fresh tasting everything was. My partner doesn't even like guacamole but really enjoyed it!

Enjoyed a meal of Mexican street food before going to the National, as it is on its door step. We were early, so no waiting for us :-) in this popular restaurant. The food came quickly, was well presented and tasty. The cocktail appeared in a thick glass which did no feel right. We mixed and matched the food and had a pleasant variety.

We stopped for a bite of lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It was busy, but we managed to get a table fairly quickly. We ordered a range of tapas-like food to share, including quesadilla and tacos, as well as a sharing platter of steak fajitas. As others have mentioned, the food is served as it's made, so there is no concept of starters and mains. This worked fine for us, as we had ordered 5 small dishes, so the fact they eventually arrived at once was OK, but I can see this might be a problem if you were planning a more substantial meal. It's also a very casual dining experience - definitely not one for a romantic tete a tete.
With 4 bottles of beer, our meal came to £40, which isn't bad given the quality of the food and the great location on the South Bank.

Converted containers are the quirky setting for this Mexican restaurant. We were lucky to get a table en passant. Really enjoyed our sharing platter and steak alambre washed down with a bottle of house white as we walked along the south bank to Borough Market. If we can get a table we will look forward to returning.
