“Excellent authentic homemade food in warm & cosy East London venue”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2012 via mobile

Beautiful, warm & cosy little Italian in the centre of Shoreditch. Being used to going for Vietnamese frequently in the area this made a nice change!

We organised a birthday party and the waiters couldn't have been more helpful from the beginning without being too clinical or stuffy, just how East London should remain! Yes, they may have got one order wrong but they created such a warm and fun atmosphere that it didn't really matter.

Most important of all, excellent homemade food with excellent quality ingredients. This seemed to be more authentic than your average Italian place, we all tried some new and interesting special dishes. Delicious, got a big thumbs up from all of us including the Italian member of our party - surely a good sign!

“Super authentic Italian food first class & attentive un fussy service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

Another great London restaurant. Busy on a wet & windy Sunday night . I was met with a friendly welcome and offered the Christmas special menu which had a really good choice of dishes. Excellent starter (tuna) brilliant king prawn main with large succulent whole prawns & a traditional Christmas sweet . Really good and a complimentary glass of Italian sparkling wine ( which was also very nice indeed) my only (minor) gripe was the cost big the ice tea at £2.50 a 330ml tin it was a bit hefty - but it was authentic Italian so probably why it was so expensive . Certainly a great meal & good ambiance not cheap but certainly authentic if the number of native Italian speakers dining there is anything to go by ! Cosmopolitan and first class

“Good quality food with great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 10, 2012 via mobile

Having been unable to get a reservation at another upmarket pizzeria nearby we found this place by accident but I'm so glad we did. Starter was a plate of meat and cheese which was ample and full of tasty flavours, next was a pizza from their pizza menu which is packed full of original combinations. Rounded off with espresso and liqueur. The service was attentive and speedy and the food was excellent value for money. Next time I will give the expensive pizzeria and it's slow service a miss and head straight here.

“Lovely italian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 6, 2012

We went here on a cold afternoon with a friend and two children. Very relaxed layout aiming for friendly place to eat, service was prompt and polite. Ordered pizza's for the children (of course) and my friend and I had pasta. All the dishes brought were excellent and well made, there was even homemade pasta for one of the dishes. Portion size just right, the pizza tasted lovely with a fantastic tomato sauce base that added a real subtle flavour to the pizza, not tart like some. My seafood pasta was stirred through with a pesto sauce and delicious. Wine with the meal was fantastic as was the cheeseboard dessert that we all shared. The price was not unreasonable considering we had drinks as well, we came away feeling that we had value for money and an enjoyable afternoon. If you are going to Columbia Market or the Geffrye museum then head here for lunch,or if like us on a day trip in London, we travelled from the British museum as we wanted to try it out - great to go somewhere that was not part of a chain of restaurants.
