“Mis-sold tour!”
Reviewed May 5, 2013

Just been on the Park in Progress Tour at 15 GBP per adult. When these tickets were purchased the description of the tour was that you went up the Orbit sculpture, inside the aquatic centre and into the stadium - I thought for the money that was fantastic value for an hour tour. When we arrived for the tour we were told that you get on a bus, go up the Orbit and return, you are not allowed to go into the aquatic centre or stadium. I do feel that this tour was totally mis-sold as it was not as described at the point the tickets were purchased. I have looked at the Park in Progress website and see that they have removed the description of entering the stadium and aquatic centre, it now says,

"Please note, contrary to some media reports, Park In Progress visits do not enter the Park sports venues or tour the full Park. These areas are currently undergoing construction works to open the north to the public from summer 2013 and the south from spring 2014."

The trip lasts a maximum of 30mins, the information passed by the 'tour guides' on the bus was extremely limited, the whole place is a building site so you can't just go for a wander. It was good to go up the Orbit to see an overview of the park and views of London, however I can't help but feel disappointed as I was expecting more than a trip up the Orbit sculpture. If I had known that you couldn't wander I would have saved my money and visited in 2014 when the park is open properly - for free!

“Unforgettable experience”

Lucky to get tickets for Paralympics and had an amazing morning watching inspirational athletes. Great view from our seats and very sad to leave. London, you did us proud. What a shame it has to be a football stadium!

“Great site, plenty to see....”
Reviewed May 3, 2013

This site is vast. It's so engaging and enjoyable to walk around. Every corner turned, we visited on a very warm day. Take plenty to drink. It is however situated right next to Westfield shopping. There are also places to eat and sit. Thankfully we visited during the games last year and felt the vibe there at the time. That said, it's worth seeing at any time.....

Lucky enough to see some of the Track & field events at London 2012.. The stadium is truly amazing the views from anywhere in the stadium are good & the layout of the seats means everybody has enough room. The factilies are good & there are plenty of restrooms etc...
The food stalls within the area were good quick service although not too sure what will happen post Olympics..

Excellent rail links to the Park. We were lucky enough to get park tickets for the first day of the Paralympics. We didn't get event tickets but it didn't matter as we just wanted to see the Park and soak up the atmosphere. The landscaping was amazing. A great day out.
Very proud day!
