“Delightful meal with good service”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

We have been to this restaurant a number of times and find the ambiance, food and service to be really good value for money. In London it's very easy to pay much more for less. We hope to return very soon.

“Slow and ovedone”

Shame this, as we were hungry. Didn't need a reservation on a Friday night as it wasn't that busy but we were forgotten a couple of times (mayonnaise, extra sauce) and the medium rare steaks were medium well.

“Cold steak had to be returned”
Reviewed June 4, 2014 credit card Amex Card Member Review

It's a chain restaurant so my expectations were pretty low to start with, but the reality was totally dismal. In an area crowded with great restaurants, this is one to avoid!

“No problems but bland”
Reviewed June 1, 2014

A convenient place to go before one of the West End shows, which indeed is what we were doing. There was a pre-theatre menu which was fine. In addition to a pre-theatre menu with a choice of 3 options for each course, there was a vast regular menu and a list of specials. Even on the massive main menu there was only one vegetarian option. The place was full, the atmosphere around the area was good. The service was fine, all the staff were foreign as they seem to be everywhere in restaurants, and cheerful. Both the food and drink was in rather small portions but tasted fine. At one point about 6.30pm they turned the lights down for no apparent reason which made it rather gloomy. Although there wasn't anything to seriously fault, average seems to sum it up.

“Dirty. Bland food”
Reviewed May 31, 2014

Crockery and glasses were filthy so were replaced... but with even dirtier ones.

Food was worse than I would get in my work canteen. Blandest salad I've ever had the displeasure of paying a tenner for and a burnt, split creme brulee. It was laughably bad.

Won't go here again or any other Cote restaurant.
