Description: Mingo Argentine Steakhouse - City of London provides a unique combination of excellent quality Argentine cuts of beef from grass-fed cattle reared in the fertile lowlands of Las Pampas and cooked on an authentic parrilla (barbecue) paired with superb Argentine wines, traditional Argentine cuisine, quality ingredients and a vibrant atmosphere. The Chef carefully developed a unique style for blending farm-like cooking techniques and dish presentations with a delicate but simple cuisine. Food & Wines; not just for steak lovers, Mingo Argentine Steakhouse offers a range of authentic dishes made using the best quality ingredients and with traditional Argentine methods, including Humita, a creamed sweetcorn dish wrapped in corn husks whilst cooking. Mingo Argentine Steakhouse was established in June 2007 and today consists of 7 venues in and around London. The Steakhouses are located in Central and South-East London. They continue to pay special attention the unique characteristic of the product: the prime quality of the beef and also a great selection of Argentine wines to accompany it.

This is a 'good' restaurant but not 'very good' on this occasion - especially the food category - it is only steak after all! It's very good for business meals as the tables are well spaced. Also, the tables are large so you get plenty of space for your food, wine, side dished etc - small tables always annoy me. The food delivers what it says it will, ie. decent Argentinian meat cooked to order although our rib eyes were more rare than medium rare. It's not cheap however it's far better value than a Gaucho. Just picking out one side dish which is absolutely devine - the creamed corn served in husks! Wine list is reasonable - we had a very drinkable bottle of Malbec for under £25. Service was friendly and efficient but the place was a little quiet over lunch.

I'm staggered by the positive reviews of this place. Perhaps previous diners don't get out much, or perhaps we went on a (very) off night. Inedible ceviche, brown edges on the salad leaves, poor quality sweetbreads, incorrectly cooked & very fatty steak, The best bit? The wine. The best course? The cheese. Approach with caution.

Four of us for an informal City lunch on a Friday. Steaks were great, well cooked and reasonably priced to boot. Good, professional service with a friendly welcome. Restaurant was very quiet for a Friday lunchtime though and therefore lacking in any sort of atmosphere. Would definitely go again though either of a lunchtime or an evening.

Let say much better of the touristic steakhouse in the city center. We've been there after a long work day, food was good and meat quality was more than fair. Good choice of starters even if portions are not generous (I ordered twice). Finest prime fillet was good, but not the best one I've ever had and a little under my expectations. Fair choice of wines. Service was excellent. I felt the place too noisy but the fact that a lot of people was there is a good sign.

Just been to visit the new Buenos Aires in the city ( watling street ) , what a great experiance, the host that welcomed us was cheerful as well as the waiter who had great knowledge and was guiding us through the menu and extensive wine list.
When the food arrived we was very happy , obviousley we had to go for a steak as thats what Aegentines are well known for , but my partner couldnt resist the Lamb leg special which melted in our mouths aswell as having great flavour, the hand cut chips were great as well as pepper sauce, and the Rib Eye was cooked to perfection with great seasoning.
We didnt have space for dessert but i will make sure i save space nect time, is i will definatly be back.
