“The only Abruzzo restaurant in London.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 1, 2014

It's the real deal.

We ordered the aubergines gratin, primo cheese plate, ravioli pecora and mixed grill for two. We were bursting at the seams but we managed to tuck in some homemade tiramisu.

Everything was fresh and delicious. Many of the items on the menu were imported from Italy.

We appreciated our waiter taking the time to explain menu items to us and for providing recommendations.

Dinner for two with drinks (wine, sparkling water and coffee) was about £100.

“Exceptional Cuisine from the Italian Abruzzo Region”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 31, 2014

This is the most distinguished occupant to date of this small rectangular space on a corner of the Kings Road just west of Beaufort Street, its predecessors including a branch of a French cafe and charcuterie and a temporary re-incarnation of an itinerant pizzeria. In offering cuisine (although not wine) exclusively from the Abruzzo region of Italy, it is, I believe, fairly unique anywhere in London. Nowhere else, so far as I am aware, would offer as its house speciality, skewers of castrated lamb, served in earthenware pots. Quite a few were in evidence on our visit being enjoyed by Asian tourists and Italian-speaking cognoscenti at nearby tables.

We opted to start with a sharing plate of salamis and cheeses sliced as isoceles triangles served with lettuce, wafer-thin carrot and mushrooms on toasted ciabatta. For mains my wife had a tagliolini pasta with rabbit regular, my daughter a small portion of tagliatelle with wild boar ragout, whilst I had a veal chop with roast potatoes with a cheesy aubergine and asparagus sauce on top.

For desserts we enjoyed blackberry sorbet with berries and cream as well as a chocolate fondant.

From the wine list special using in Abruzzi wines from small organic producers we chose a Chardonnay. Half the list featured vintages from other parts of Italy.

Service was both friendly and efficient.

This is an exceptional addition to the King's Road both in terms of the quality of the cooking and the opportunity to showcase regional Italian cuisine.

“Fantastic Italian restaurant in Chelsea, London, England”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 24, 2014

We have eaten twice in one week at "Terra Virgine"" on Kings Road in Chelsea, London. The wines and food from the Abruzzo region of Italy result in wonderful sauces, great Fish Soup and a wonderful variety of Pasta. The service was impeccable and the authenticity was beyond expectations. Check out their excellent website for further exploration of their menu.

Looking for a good restaurant in Chelsea, we found this italian in town. The service was just amazing! Little attentions all the time (they offered the 4 of us a prosecco during our waiting time for the table to get ready!!), order made food (just just asked for a original dish of spaghetti and it was just great!!!) , dishes would come at the perfect timing an in the perfect order and they were just delicious!!! Home made pasta were fabulous!!
An amazing experience in London!! I would have never thought that our first night in London would be soooo good!!
The waiters were just lovely, very attentive, very smiley and so nice!! They even have a Wifi access which helped us a lot!! They even gave us tips for great restaurants and good spots t go to!!
Thank you to all the waiters and staffs that were amazing and so smiley!! One of the best experience ever in a restaurant!!

“Small modern top quality Italian restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 8, 2014

Had outstanding meal last Friday evening. Staff in particular young Italian maitre d' looked after us really well, the grilled swordfish was cooked to perfection and everything was exactly as you would expect from an Italian restaurant located in Chelsea. We were offered plenty of Limoncello afterwards on the house and were not rushed at all as we lingered over end of our meal. We will be returning soon.
