“Nothing to fault......lovely.”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

Once again we booked a hotel through Hotel Tonight and again we were not disappointed. The staff were helpful and friendly and special mention of the reception staff and bar man who were just lovely. Could not find fault with our room and bathroom which although small were beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The complimentary tea was a nice gesture which was served with biscuits and lovely china which we appreciated. Personally we liked the sound of the underground trains so this was no problem for us. Easy to walk to Oxford Street and the West End from this hotel. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and we would definitely stay here again (much nicer and better value for money than some of the larger hotels we have stayed in in London). Excellent!!

Was in London for two days, business and leisure time (art faire frieze) , that's why I have chosen this hotel next to frieze. very nice rooms, nice service and breakfast , I missed the communicative lobby, the lobby only had the character of a stylish waiting room, so there was no real space to work, so all together nice sleeping hotel, but not more. And if you come to London for shopping, it's no real walking distance from regent street, but perfect for Madame Tussaud , it's round the corner.

Beautiful hotel, as are all the Firmdales - excellent service and very peaceful; especially compared to the Soho. Upgraded room and champagne to help celebrate our wedding anniversary. Great location for a weekend break, near Marylebone's lovely restaurants, shops and bars.

What a great location! Restaurants, cafes and the tube nearby The staff bend over backwards to be helpful! The decor in the room was lovely, the bed amazing. My single occupancy room was very tight though, i would book a larger room next time. They provide wonderful bath products making me feel that I was in a very lucurious space. I will return.

Room Nbr 1 - bad room - it's on the level -1 near the staff room - doors slamming from 6 a.m. all day long; views to the next room, in a step away. Not good...
Of course it's a Firmdale Hotel, so it is in a global perspective good. Breakfast was very good.

Rooms are gorgeous, the bar is intimate and beautifully decorated and the food is simple and tasty. If noise bothers you then ask for a room upstairs as sometimes you can hear the tubes pass under you in the lower rooms.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights on a special rate - it was still £315/night which included breakfast!!!
The room was a 'deluxe' room was quite small. Don't bring much to hang up as really limited hanging space. However beautifully decorated and VERY clean. The bed in our room was very comfortable and the shower was wonderfully powerful and VERY clean. The staff in the restaurant where very attentive and gave excellent service. Of note though- they automatically take 12.5% tip so don't add on extra!!! The evening meal was delicious though very expensive with a lot of things being 'extra' in price. The 'honesty' bar is also VERY expensive. £11 for a measure of laguvalin whiskey!!!!!!!
The main bug bear and really wound both my husband and myself up was the lack of warning re extras! Don't have a second glass of orange juice at breakfast - will cost you extra as will a second round of tea, coffee or toast EVEN though you have paid in your rate for breakfast. There are NO tea/ coffee making facilities in the room which considering the cost of the room is very disappointing but it's another way to charge you extra- £8.58 for tea for 2 in your room!!! So frustrating.
However the wifi is ultra fast and useful for downloading the new series of dr who and writing trip advisor reviews!!!
All in all- lovely hotel but watch those sneaky extra charges!
