What an amazing experience. I am very much a fan of Firmdale hotels. This small hotel is still big in delivery. The Kit Kemp design is so clever. It reflects the cricket inheritance but isn't a history lesson. Amazing detail in every room and every item of decor. Cricket buffs will love it and its close proximity to Lords Cricket Ground. In fact what is now Dorset Square was the original Thomas Lord ground. That's the Hotel. Now for the food. You can dine in the gorgeous boutique space which is named The Potting Shed. Great service, gorgeous food the usual well stocked wine list. And beyond the hotel you have easy access to London. The West End is minutes away. with cabs and trains on hand from Marylebone or Baker Street. Enjoy people! Its an experience.

After a year or so of staying here once a month, there is now a lot to commend the hotel for - service is friendly and helpful with always a warm welcome, rooms are cosy and well equipped, breakfasts are well worth getting out of bed for, and the location is great for access to airports (City and Heathrow) the West End and Regents Park. I now look forward to my trips to London just so I can stay in this hotel. High garden view rooms still recommended to guarantee a quiet night. Restaurant gets (justifiably) busy so worth reserving a table.

Great place for a short stay in London, with lots more soul than other nearby bland tourist or business hotels.

I booked this hotel through Hotel Tonight and what a wonderful surprise it was! Good location just over a mile from Euston with Baker Street tube 2 mins walk. Lovely square and great little gem of a hotel.
The staff couldn't be more helpful - special praise to Jermaine on the front desk and Shayam the bell hop. Best breakfast I have ever had in London and in all my travels round the World I'm not sure I have ever slept in a more comfy bed!
I would recommend this hotel without hesitation - couples, business or family would have a superb time here!

Yet another splendid creation by Kit Kemp. If you, like me, need a girly getaway to London every now and then, this is just the place. Kit's lovely Dorset Square ticks all the boxes.

Absolutely stunning deco, clearly lovingly-trained and very nice service, crisp, clean feel, all the best products and touches... absolutely nothing left to chance.

I have never (but would love to) meet Kit and her husband, Tim. Their combined business sense with love for pretty things, hands on approach, knowledge of textiles, fabric and color and sense of how to make guests feel warm and comfortable are remarkable and to be commended. ' Loved the custom designed wall paper in the hallways and the bold yet very cosy and warm mix of design color fabrics and objects everywhere. Who would of thought to make decorative wall smatterings out of cricket paddles and doorknobs with the same theme and it works so well and plays tribute to this places past.

Breakfast was fabulous! I am sure staff members were wondering how long I planned to stay in the cheery room. A great garden theme going on lots of green and wood and little plants outstanding buffet selection fresh and yummy. I didnt even make it to the cooked breakfast selection.

The best part is the lovely lounge looking out onto all the passerbys to and from Baker Street tube I imagine and right in front of charming Dorset Square. I spent three hours and met two new lovely acquaintances there last night around drinks. (How often does that happen at a Hilton )?

A 10 across the board and even better that I had imagined. Congratulations and I will definitely be back for a longer stay (and may even bring hubby with me next time)

Ps: so glad to see the group is now offering free WIFI (at least at this hotel ) which was my only snafu on a previous stay at another Firmdale property a few years back. Special thanks to Receptionist Manager Jermaine for making my (too short stay so wonderful) :)

Room Tip: apparently lots of rooms are quite small here. Mine was a very good size and quiet absolutely delightful (room 303)

Delightful, subtly cricket-themed hotel in lovely Marylebone location. Tiny rooms (we were glad to only be staying for one night) but very nice staff and bar. Would definitely come back for a drink but would look for somewhere a little more roomy again I'm afraid. But a great ambience.
