I stayed here three times in April for 5 nights in total as I was visiting a client nearby. It's a bit far out of central London but great for Ealing/Brentford.

The area around the hotel is great with loads of bars and restaurants. Walpole park is lovely to go for a run around.

The staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful.

The rooms are great - spacious, clean, comfy beds, big bathrooms...

Food in the restaurant is excellent too.

Parking not a problem - drive past the hotel, turn right and then turn right again. On High Street there is a carpark that's less than 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It's down a little lane on the right hand side! £10 for 24 hours.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quieter

Can’t help humming along to Olivia Neutron Bomb’s song….but anyway…..Ealing, London W5 has very few decent hotels, in fact a lousy choice of faceless chain hotels. Enter Hotel Xanadu………. privately owned, modern (glass lift give Ealing a bit of an architectural upgrade !), intimately designed with a boutique feel to it. Xanadu offers the perfect balance of friendly but not “in-your-face” service; clean, comfortable rooms and bar and restaurant if you don’t want to go out. Good location between the famous Ealing Studios (home to part of Downton Abbey’s film set) and Ealing Broadway tube (Central and District) and overland train station (10/15 mins to Paddington). Good size bedroom with nice big shower. Flat screen TV with Sky channels, desk, windows that open (yes!) so you don’t wake up feeling jet lagged after a night of aircon. My only observation is that the safe is very small – ok for an ipad but not for the larger laptops. And if you are driving, parking is tricky. Drive down Ealing Green which becomes St Mary’s Road and turn lfet at the Universtiy of West London. You can park there for free between 4pm and 10am. Fantastic value for money. Look no further in W5!

Dear guest,

Thank you ever so much for your great feedback and yes I agree...West is best!
It is true that street parking is almost non-existent in Ealing (the Council is actively pushing for everyone to use public transports and not cars) but, as you mention in your review there are a couple of public parking in walking distance of the hotel.
Once again, many thanks for your feedback
Warm regards

I stayed there for a night it was very good and if you like to go to heathrow airport from it is nice because you can take the heathrow express from Ealing Broadway station which 5 minutes walk from the hotel. But if you visiting the city it think there will be better choices specially in zones 1 & 2 which is better for tourists,

I don't know why i cannot seem to excite myself about this hotel although there is absolutely nothing wrong about it. Great bed, super clean average size room, great bathroom, brand new hotel with everything working perfectly, friendly staff, satisfactory buffet breakfast and excellent value for money. Well i cannot stress this enough. Location-wise, a bit far on the west side of London, but close to rail and underground station and half an hour ride with tube to Marble Arch. But that's about it.

Great hotel in a nice part of Ealing - but if you arrive by car you cannot park outside to unload your bags, because there's a bus stop outside the entrance, and the whole street is meter parking for a short period only. Nearest car park - 1km away (a long way with luggage in the rain). This aside, the rooms are great, the staff are good, and because everything is new it all works well. In spite of being on a busy road, the rooms are quiet. Plenty of restaurants around the hotel so lots of choice for an evening meal if you want to eat outside the hotel.

Room Tip: Get a room at the back if you can - but even the street ones are quiet
