It's so hard to tell if a B&B is nice when you are searching across the pond! Rhodes Ave exceeded our expectations!! My husband and I stayed at Rhodes Ave for two days in January when we went to watch Tottenham Hotspurs. We arrived on a cold and rainy day and were greeted with smiles and warmth. Elli treated us to hot tea and biscuits which hit the spot and perked up our mood instantly. Our room was like a room in our own house. It was spacious, clean and just lovely with a very comfortable bed. The en-suite bathroom was immaculate. We appreciated the hot shower and great water pressure. Elli and Haya are the most gracious hosts!!! The breakfast each day was delicious with the eggs made to order, variety of cheeses, yummy warm bread and fresh fruit. We very much enjoyed our time there and especially chatting with Elli and Haya. The next time we go to London (hopefully next year) we will definitely be going back to Rhodes Ave.

My husband and I stayed at Rhodes Avenue for the second time in January this year. When we arrived we were given a warm and friendly welcome. Elli helped us with our bags and offered us a drink and some thing to eat, which was much appreciated with the cold weather.

Our room was room one, the En-suite room, which was light, airy and clean. The free wifi in the room was an excellent touch and meant we could keep up with the snooker scores while we were not at Allly Pally. Alexandra Palace is just a short walk from the B&B and if you need directions Elli and Haya are always happy to help. Muswell Hill is also a short walk up the road and has lots of independent shops and cafes to visit - ask Elli for his recommendations.

Breakfast was delicious and is served to suit you. There are a selection of teas, coffees and hot chocolates which are available throughout your stay. The scrambled egg is a treat.

After breakfast we wandered down to the Bounds Green tube station, which is about a 15-20 minute straight forward walk. A bus is also available. The tube journey into central London and the theatre district is about 30 minutes.

This is a great B&B and we think a wonderful place to stay, hopefully we'll be able to book next year for the weekend.

thank you for your hospitality, see you next time.

Loved Rhodes Avenue. Stayed for 2 nights in January and went to the Masters Snooker in Alexandra Palace - just a 10 minute walk away. The room and bathroom across the hall (for our exclusive use) were spotless. We appreciated the additional single bed provided for our son and access to free wi-fi was brilliant. Elli gave us a warm welcome with tea and home-made biscuits on arrival and we had free access to the kitchen which was stocked with a variety of teas, coffee and biscuits. Breakfast was delicious - fresh fruit, beautifully presented, fresh bread, cheese selection, home-made bread, porridge, and scrambled eggs. Above and beyond all of this was the warm welcome and genuine interest in ensuring our stay was enjoyable. We had an early flight on Monday morning and Elli arranged a taxi for us while Haya provided a beautiful breakfast, including fresh home-made bread, at 6.30 a.m. !! Exceeded our expectations in every way. Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality.

Room Tip: The other room is en-suite but we were quite happy with our room and adjacent well-appointed bathroo...

Went to London for a friend's 50th and stayed nearby in Rhodes Avenue. The B&B is excellent in every respect, clean, beautifully decorated and furnished impeccably, made me look at my home with fresh and less approving eyes. Haya & Elli are really agreeable hosts. As I say in the title simply the nicest place I've stayed.

Room Tip: stunning shower

We were looking for accommodation in the Muswell Hill area and couldn't believe our luck when we came across this little gem. We were due to move into our new house and had a few homeless days in between our sale and purchase. The bedrooms (we had both) were immaculate and Elli delivered a fantastic breakfast even accommodating our special requests. He also had a great knowledge of the local area and beyond.
Our only hope (even though I am writing this review) is that this place doesn't become too booked up, after all I may need somewhere local to put the visitors to my new house!!

Rhodes home stay offers a warm (particularly in a cold wet January winter) and welcome oasis in North London . Elli and Haya are genial hosts up for a chat and attentive to all needs without being intrusive in any way.Rooms are neat and tidy and on the side of compact in keeping with the houses in the area.Breakfasts are vegetarian but not to worry, they are wholesome healthy and you will want for nothing to set you up for the day.
In summary highly recommended you will do well to find better.

This week's chartbuster from Muswell Hill ! ! In addition to all the nice things we can say about this Bed and Breakfast- both the bed and the breakfast were excellent, naturally. And the room was so clean we thought there was an ozone generator running. But there was something else that really made it special, and that was that when we left, as we waved goodbye, we felt as if we had been reconnected to long lost family members. The sands of time once swept away, had somehow been recovered, rediscovered... It's good to know that you can still find real persons behind the words personal care, personal service and personal attention. I dare anyone to find that experience in a commercial hotel.
Across the road, across Rhodes, is a nice little park, a monument- 'the last remnants of a stately home' once inhabited by Cecil Rhodes, the founder of Rhodesia... well, the home is gone, Cecil is gone and Rhodesia is gone, but good friends like those at Rhodes Avenue Homestay B&B are 4ever.
