Owner description: The RAF Benevolent Fund is proud and privileged to be the custodian of the new Bomber Command Memorial in central London. The memorial has been built to be modern, yet classical, in Portland stone. At its heart are the bronze sculptures of a Bomber Command aircrew. Within the memorial, the space is open to the sky with an opening designed to allow light to fall directly onto sculptures of the aircrew.

Just go there....breathtaking. A big thank you to all those who made this wonderful space happen. I defy anybody not to be moved by this monument, and what it stands for.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

I visited partly because of the rating on Trip Advisor. It is worth seeing and is if course free but I don't think it warrants its rating although I fully understand people's sympathy and positive reactions to it.

“Emotive memorial”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

We visited shortly after it was opened, there were many very touching personal testimonials from family and the entire memorial is very moving and dignified. Don't miss it, close to Green park Station, just walk a little way along Piccadilly and spend a few quiet moments on reflection in the middle of busy London

“So moving”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

The personal messages at foot of the statues were just so special. To sit and give a thought for these men in such a thought provoking memorial

“Moving”
Reviewed December 11, 2012

If you are ever in London, you must go and see this. The sculpture is unbelievable and is so moving. It's about time the sacrifices the pilots of Bomber Command made were recognised
