“Lebaneser Good!”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

Just when we thought we'd finished our quest for South London BYO's, they pulled us back in (although it is £1.50 corkage a bottle of wine. Outrageous!).

After a glut of meze in Cyprus, found myself here on The High Parade, St.Reatham with a gang of friends, raging hunger and a bottle of red with my name on it.

We decided to share the veg/meat meza platters; and meat was succulent, and the veggie platter bursting with herby, strong flavours.

It's a large space, with modern decor, and the staff were friendly, attentive and accomodating. The menu is a standard mix of grilled meats, rice (chips for the brits!), but very well done. The menu also runs from breakfast through to closing.

A welcome addition to Streatham, and London in general.

“Lebanese food in South West London”
Reviewed January 14, 2013

Beyrouths opened in Streatham around six months ago on the site of what used to be an indian restuarant (Chilli Chutney)
Excellent quality food and a very good if somewhat limited choice on the menu.
Take your own drink. (Currently there is a 'free corkage' offer running, normally £1.50 per person.
Very basic decor that tries to look like some industrial building on the streets of Beirut, but somehow it seems to work well !
I like Beyrouths and would thoroughly recommend it. Prices are average but value for the quality you get is very good.

“As good as everyone says”
Reviewed January 8, 2013

Had Sunday lunch as a group of 8 with family, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I like all sorts of cuisines, but had never had Lebanese, and it was great. Service was friendly and relaxed, and plenty of choice if (unlike me) you're a vegetarian. Restaurant is BYO, so you can drink what you like, and there are several off-licences nearby including a Sainsburys Local. I don't live close so my first visit, but it many of other customers seemed to be regulars as known to the staff. If you're nearby, well worth a visit.

“Relaxed, Genuine, Easy.”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

This is my new local. I've eaten here twice in the last couple of weeks under very different circumstances. A fast but romantic eat before a film and a family (9 month old and 4 year old) late improvised night out. Beyrouth was perfectly appropriate for both. They have not taken on easy premises, previous attempts haven't worked here. It's a big open space, not what you'd call cosy but they have pulled it off, not trying too hard, the decor is low key, appropriate and edgy. The service is high quality and heartfelt. Nothing distracts you from the food which is genuine and exquisite. It is a BYO which if planned properly means you can drink what you want at supermarket prices. They won't bat an eyelid if you pop out for a top up mid meal from the local open all hours supermarket. I will take my elderly parents next time they are in town, it will be perfect for that too. A restaurant that does their bit perfectly and let's you bring what you want to the occasion. They deserve our support.

“A Good Find”
Reviewed December 31, 2012

My wife and I had been meaning to try Beyrouths in Streatham since it opened six months ago and finally got there for lunch on New Year's Eve.

We're glad we made it. While the service was a bit leisurely and the menu choices weren't huge the lebanese-style food was wonderfully fresh and subtlely spiced.

The decor is interesting: cafe rather than restaurant with decor that is consciously shabby. Worth bearing in mind that it doesn't serve alcohol, though you can bring your own bottle of wine for a £1.50 corkage charge.

With food this good, we'll definitely be back.
