“Fun and funky boutique hotel in a great location.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2014

We stayed at CitizenM for 3 nights and loved it. We were welcomed by a friendly and helpful staff.
The room was small but we did not feel cramped for space. It was a clean efficient layout with a king bed, roomy rainfall shower with mood lighting.
We choose to have the breakfast option included on our stay. It was a great way to start our busy tourist days. Barista made coffees, fresh squeezed OJ , omelette ,bacon, sausage, organic muesli, fresh fruit, yogurt and pastries .
The lounge area was a good spot to have a drink , read a book or just relax after a long day.
A great location! Close to the Tate Modern, the Eye, the Globe theatre and London Bridge station and much more.
We would definitely stay here again and look forward to trying out other CitizenM hotels.

Great location right by Tate Modern, but the check in, wifi, room moods, huge bed, lighting, bar/lounge area & just the overall feel & style of the place just made it seem like how staying in a hotel in the 21st century should be, none of the old fussy nonsense & at a good price - & as if that's not enough, even a trio of Eames Elephants near the lifts...

Writing this review while relaxing in our room at the citizenM London Bankside... Rooms are small, but super comfortable. The room is controlled by a Samsung pad, which allows you to control light, temperature, windows and the television. There is a host of free movies avaliable on the TV. The bed in the room is massive! And the shower in the room is great too. We have a room on the 4th floor facing the courtyard, which is lovely and peaceful. The hotel itself is modern and trendy, it's located about 10mins walk from London Bridge and Southwark tube stations and is very easy to find. In summary citizenM London Bankside is great value for money, trendy and comfortable..would recommend.

We like modernist furniture and state of the art facilities and this hotel has both. Really enjoyed it. Very convenient on the South Bank and within easy walks of everything we wanted and London Bridge and Blackfriars railway stations. I don't think I'd change anything really.
All decent (and many not so decent) London hotels are expensive, but citizenM is good value.
Will be staying again soon.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same, so very few brain cells needed to decide which one.

This is a unique hotel in London. If you like design, love citytripping and are into movies, this is the hotel for you.
Super friendly staff (really, how do they recruit these guys), awsome lobby and bar. Just go :)

Maybe if you're staying a week or longer, the rooms is a bit too small. But for a citytrip, it's perfect.
If you have kids, I would also suggest another hotel.

If you're visiting London for a citytrip, I would always pick this hotel. Perfect location near Tate Modern. Not too busy street, bikes available just outside the door, perfect.

Room Tip: Pick the patio if you want a quiet room. Pick a streetview room if you love to watch people on the s...

Very good hotel the rooms are a little small. Large bed & flat screen everything in the room controled by a tablet. Very good shower, but storage space a little limited. Very good WiFi & a free buisness area where you can print off as well.
Drinks a bit expensive but its London. £15 for breakfast expensive, but there is a small M&S over the road that does good bacon baps. Stay again yes unless I get a very good deal elsewhere.

Room Tip: Get a room higher up for less noise.

I love how they have re-thought the idea of a hotel and what people really want. The public spaces were great - with a variety of seating options. People actually wanted to be int he lobby working, talking, having a coffee or drink... The rooms were interesting and fun. The best part, though, were the meeting rooms. It was the most comfortable and efficient hotel meeting room I have ever used. It was clearly thought of to be a space where creativity and collaboration is assumed to be important. I highly recommend CitizenM both for 'mobile citizens' and business meetings.

Room Tip: I stayed in the interior courtyard rather than 'city view' assuming it would be more quiet...
