Stylish, funky, a library, bar, study all rolled into one downstairs. Immeasurably better than the one in Amsterdam. The rooms are bijou - nah, they're just narrow. It all depends whether you want to spend your stay in London in your room or in London. All the necessaries are there, the tablet-drives-everything concept is just great, and it's just very, very cool. It's not Claridges and it doesn't want to be. It's really rather good just as it is. More please.

I hade a exiting stay at citizenm bankside london. the staff was extraordinary friendly and assisted whenever I needed support. the rooms were tiny but stylish, smart and clean.
breakfast is a special kind of selfservice like in a foodstore, but o.k.
The ambiente of the lobby and the restaurant is stylish as well, full of Vitra furniture and design elements. If free I would book the hotel again.

This is the review the booking site requested so thought I'd share on here too.

The good:
Free drinks vouchers and birthday message for my girlfriend were very gratefully received!
Staff are utterly excellent - friendly and helpful.
Main reception / bar / courtyard lovely.
Location is very good - 5 mins walk from Tate and river.
Nice area in Southwark, and M&S opposite was handy.

The not so good:
Wasn't all that taken with room layout- too cramped feeling, and the wall-to-wall bed though huge made the room feel even more cramped and was too hard; neither of us slept well. But thats just preference of mattress.
Opening the glass bathroom door to its max extent of 45 degrees banged into the toilet bowl every time again due to the compact (cramped) design of room, a very badly thought out layout and annoyed us every time it 'clanged'.
Expensive food and drinks, but then it is in 'rip-off London'. Liked that it's 24 hours though if needed.
Samsung Tablet controlling everything from tv to window blind and mood lighting whilst hi-tech is more of a gimmick than an advantage.
The hippyish 'live life' slogans they print on everything got on my nerves but that's the hotel's style versus my taste.

To sum up:
I love modern design and gadgets more than most, but all in all give me a traditional hotel room with manual controlled curtains tv and lights any day. But the major concern I had was the compact size of the bedroom. I wouldn't pay the rack rate of £140 a night for this stay as there is better options for that money (we had a discount at £109 as newly opened making it a fair price in London).

London hotel's are notoriously small but the wall to wall bed makes it feel even smaller somehow. It's a good clean hotel in a decent location 5 mins walk to the Tate and river. Lastly a mention of the staff who were excellent, friendly and helpful. I guess if you think of it as a cabin on a ship you wouldn't be disappointed with the dimensions.

Room Tip: All rooms are the same, choice of street (office blocks) or central atrium so nothing much in it but I'd opt for external facing next time just to see if it reduced the rooms' feeling of being cramped

The hotel is perfectly situated right behind Tate Modern and (on the Jubilee bridge) within walking distance from the center of London. It is explicitly intended as a design hotel and public areas are indeed very tastefully decorated. The rooms are equipped with a tablet that allows you to handle the curtains and the free TV and movies that allows you internet access
We were less enthusiastic about the rooms that are very small. Even so small that it is impossible to walk around the bed. An important part of the room area is also occupied by a small shower and a sink. There remains therefore little living space. The whole has something of a stuffy monastery, an effect that is reinforced by the fact that the window cannot open. Within this small space does the design character of the hotel almost counterproductive. Great for a youth hostel, but you can, given the not inconsiderable price, expect a bit more. Annoying, we found the semi-funny sayings, which the guest is bombarded.

I am quite an independent type of traveller and so the CitizenM ethos suited me perfectly. It was great to have all of the facilities of a good quality hotel without the stuffiness of regular interactions with somewhat officious hotel staff where I have stayed before. The lounge areas were comfortable and full of creative reads and visual stimulation, as well as a lovely 24hr bar area.
Checking in (and out) was easy and the ambassadors in reception were really helpful and attentive without being over the top - nothing was too much trouble, and we could store our bags in reception with no problem on check out day. I didn't really test their knowledge of London, as I tend to do my research before I head off and I know the area pretty well!

The room itself was on the small side for anyone with large suitcases, but for us on a weekend trip or a solo traveller it was perfectly formed. Bed - extremely comfortable and massive; bathroom - half in, half out of the room, great showers with a choice of raindrop or directional; technology - excellent, great use of a tablet to alter lighting (with mood colours), use tv, and access internet and a selection of free movies. I love tech, so this was no trouble for me, for those who are a little phobic it may be challenging, but perhaps fun?? Only had one problem with this a couple of times with lagging, but nothing the manual remote didn't solve :-)

Oooooo the absolute best bits - the QUIET! I have never stayed in a London hotel and had so much peace before, barely heard another guest the whole stay the sound proofing is that good; the location - amazing, a stones throw from Tate modern/Southbank, a buzzy vibe, and an easy walk to Southwark tube with good connections; the comfort - excellent bed and extremely clean and fresh linens/towels. It also has a choice of curtain (lets some light in) or blackout blind (great for those "don't want to be disturbed sleeps).

A brilliant stay and will definitely return again if the prices stay at a similar rate.
