there are only three words to describe this place..........scruffy,unclean and dangerous! i stay in hotels and b and b's every week, and this is by far the worst place i have ever seen! its full of DHSS and drugs. its in a bad part of london so your vehicle is not safe outside, but to be fair you would be better off sleeping in your car than going inside this complete and utter crap hole!

Room Tip: never ever go here!

I paid about £40 for a one night stay. The room I stayed in was basic (there as a shared bathroom nearby) Only a 5 min walk from Homerton Overground station. Pay by cash-I was caught out by paying an additional £2-3 extra by paying with a credit card.

very shabby, dull, dirty and smelly. its really worth spending more if this is the quality you get for the money. it was disgusting, shared bathroom i couldnt get in, single toilet in a tiny cupboard halfway up the stairs was filthy, broken light switch that could have given electric shock, i had to put more clothes on to get into bed, spent the rest of the day itching till i got home for a nice hot shower. couldnt bear staying for breakfast up and out by 7am. oh and they charge an extra 5% for paying with a card. NEVER AGAIN. DON'T DO IT...!

Room Tip: pay more and go elsewhere.

The hotel is very good value for the London area and in fact I think you'd be hard pushed to find a hotel as reasonably priced in most parts of the country. I have been staying in this hotel for a week and can honestly say it's the friendliest place I've stayed in London. The facilities are reasonably basic but well maintained and extremely good for the price you pay. The hotel is clean and tidy and although some rooms have shared bathroom facilities there are plenty of bathrooms available so this isn't a problem.

The reception is staffed 24/7 and you are always greeted with a smile no matter what time of night you arrive. The staff have been so friendly and made me feel so welcome, they are always happy to help no matter what the query.

The hotel is housed in an old convent which is full of character with a nice garden area where you can sit and enjoy a bit of rare English sunshine. There is a cosy lounge/dining area which is always open and has Sky TV, all bedrooms have Freeview televisions in them. The kitchen is open most of the time and continental breakfast is available in the morning with a good choice of food/drink and there are plenty of shops/takeaways within easy walking distance or just ask the staff for menus and they're happy to recommend a place to eat or for you to have a takeaway delivered.

I really would recommend this hotel to anyone who is looking for a good value, friendly place to stay and I would most definitely stay here again any time I'm in London.

It's a budget hotel and you get what you pay for - this isn't a bargain boutique hotel. However it was clean if a little rough round the edges; our room had an en-suite shower which looked to have been recently installed as they hadn't managed to fit the tiles round the bottom of the shower tray.

Communication could be better - we weren't told that there were tea/coffee facilities in a lounge area (none in room) or when breakfast was served (we hadn't been told that there was breakfast, so missed it completely).

I read some of the poor reviews after booking but prior to arrival and was expecting a dive but was pleasantly surprised, management seems to be taking heed of the comments and improving.

Location is good for the Olympic park and Westfield at Stratford(about 5 mins away by train/20 mins on foot), though a bit further out for central London.

Watch out for the 5% surcharge for paying by card.

This was booked to try out other cheaper alternatives to Travelodge in London.
The hotel was absolutely appalling, and honestly has to be the worst hotel I've stayed in yet; and I've stayed in some dives. These next points are collated from myself and my work colleague in another room.

- Room door was an ex-firedoor with a window that was wall papered.
- The dusty air made my throat hurt
-There was a table, one chair, a bed, and a sorry looking wardrobe and leg rest/poofe from the 70s.
- The rooms window looked like it was where a forced entry had previously taken place.
- The bed has flecks of red liquid on, one can guess it was blood
- The towel had brown streaks on it.
- the duvet was shredded and falling apart
- the fire alarm was dangling mid-air
- the was bare wires hanging off the lamp
- the bathroom for the floor was communal and was filthy and smaller than my home bathroom
- no drink making facilities/glasses in room, had to go to communial kitchen which was dirty
- everything you touches was with dusty, dirty or fell apart
- and the list goes on.....

Spent the evening trying to find a room at a Travelodge or Premiere Inn, but ended up sleeping on the table, and forwent a shower the next morning through its disguising state.

Do not ever think of staying there, there are plenty of alternatives. Travelodge is very bulk standard, but you know what you're going to get and that it'll be clean, hygienic and reletivly comfortable. Really think Health & Safety or hotel inspectors should see this place, its appalling.
