We had tickets for a show at the Forum in Kentish Town and wanted somewhere to eat before the concert and we found the Rossella which is 5 minutes walk from the venue.
We agree with what other reviewers have said - yes it is not a showy pretentious restaurant, I would describe it more a local 'down to earth' place but that should not put people off because what the Rossella gives you is great Italian food which is very reasonably priced in a family friendly atmosphere. Our party of four all had different starters and main dishes and the main dishes were very generous so unfortunately we did not have room for dessert.
Luca the owner (and one of the chefs) was very friendly and patiently explained all the specials to us. He and all his staff seemed genuinely happy and we were glad we decided to eat at the Rosella rather than one of the sterile pizza/Italian chains which are taking over every where. If you support local independent restaurants then hopefully more places like the Rossella will spring.
Many thanks to Luca and his staff for a great meal.
