This Hotel is in the Westfield Shopping premises, the newest and biggest Shopping of Europe. This Hotel is very comfortable, the cleaniness is spot on, the staff is friendly and helpfull. They provide everything that you need for an amazing stay. It is not a cheap accommodation but its worth for your money. The decoration is about Olympic Games and its localization is nearby Olympic Stadium. As this is a new Post Code (E20) in London, the satnav meet some difficulties to find out.

Room Tip: If you want a room with Olympic Park view, ask for.

Stayed here a couple of times now and would use this hotel when visiting London due to the quality of the decor. It's brand new and a higher end holiday inn. It's next to the Olympic village and minutes from the subway to central London. The journey on the tube is approx 25 mins.
There is alo a British rail route to kings cross st pancras. It's £5 each way on the br route but takes 5 minutes on the train and s direct so worth it if you don't want to drag your suitcases through the underground. Th train station is at the exit by HSBC on the ground floor of the mall.
The rooms in the hotel are average size, excellent furnishings and bedding with added cushions etc and flat screen tvs. I found the curtains did allow light in so slept with my eye mask.
Had a view overlooking the olympic park.
The restaurant was overpriced and certainly not in line with local prices. There are lots of restaurants nearby and Starbucks for breakfast. The drinks were pricey even for London prices.
There is a wait rose in the shopping mall for snacks and water supplies.
I would definitely stay in this hotel despite it not being central London.

We stayed in an executive room. It was well equipped and comfortable and the little extras (such as bars of chocolate and magazines) were a nice bonus.

The hotel is right in the heart of Westfield Stratford but it is still very quiet inside the rooms so we slept very well. There is a good sized bar with views over the Olympic Stadium and a large restaurant (although we didn't eat it in). The staff were probably the friendliest that we have experienced outside the US with every one that we encountered wishing us a good morning/eveneing and actually sounding like they mean it.

Although the hotel is a little way outside of central London, the transport links are very good and we were able to get to Oxford Street by Tube within 20 minutes (the Tube station is only a couple of minutes from the hotel).

Stayed here recently as the location was ideal for a night out. The hotel is based inside Stratford City along the main shopping centre. The desk staff are helpful but don't really go the extra mile / demonstrate a passion.

Our double room was very modern and very clean. The beds provided a good nights sleep and the room and bathroom are a reasonable size. There is also wardrobe space. I could not find a minibar in the room so am still unsure why exactly a collateral £50 is charged on check in (funds released on check out).

If you are staying at the hotel on a Friday/Saturday night I strongly advise against a room on the street/casino side. The casino is 24/7 and the bar with a balcony faces one side of the hotel- with possible live loud music it may not give the bests night sleep if sober.

I have attached a picture of what I believe to be a very bad flaw in the room design. The bathroom door opens out into the room with no limiter, this means it can then be wedged behind the door handle of the main room door. What would happen if you had an accident in the bathroom, the door swung open and blocks the room door? With the night latch, staff could override the room card lock and open the door a few inches; with this, the room door cannot open at all.

The room card key is also similar to an oyster card with tap to open, do not keep it next to you oyster as it can cause issues with the oyster.

Besides these niggles the hotel is nice and a great location choice if spending an evening in Stratford City/ Aspers Casino / O2 Arena

Spent a night here recently & was a shocked when we were not allowed to pay for our drinks at the bar with cash so elected to put the charge to our room instead. We asked for a receipt which is NOT given automatically because the price was strange(ending in 6p) & higher than Iguanos restaurant, Theatre Stratford Royal & Aspers casino all places we had drunk at during our day/night away. Then all became clear the reason no cash is accepted is probably due to the service charge being added to the bill. I asked for it to be removed & to their credit this was done immediately but wonder how many people have been caught by the no cash trick. Whilst enjoying our drinks 5 people were turned away from the bar because they wanted to pay cash. One of them relented & duly paid with his card but the other 4 sat with no drinks! This subterfuge to get more money out of customers is probably counteractive to business as no card payment=no drink. I asked the barmaid if she got the service charge & she said yes i think so but would love to know if this is the case or the if IHG pocket it!

Hotel was great as it is quite new and all staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel is located in the Westfield shopping centre which has plenty of restaurants in it if you don't want to eat in the hotel which was expensive. Hotel was 20-30 minutes away from central London on the tube and the tube was 5 minutes from the hotel.

They do charge a service charge when you buy a drink in the bar which they do not tell you a out and they don't give you your receipt I only noticed when I was checking out they charged an extra 63p per pint, that was ok but it would be nice to know. You don't have to pay it if you don't want to also room service never answered the phone at 23.50. Even though these small problems occurred I would recommend this to friends and family.

Dear Rogk79,

Thank you for your feedback,

I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay here at the hotel, I am disappointed to hear about the minor issues which happened though.

Our service charge in Stadium Bar is discretionary and can be removed from the bill if you do not wish to pay for it. I have spoken to my Food & Beverage Manager in regards to your call to room service which he is currently reviewing.

I look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future
