The location of this hotel is good for the price as close to North Acton tube. However it is in a soulless area with only a few convenience stores. I was upgraded at check in as a member which was very positive. The room was good with big bed and recently refurbished. The major downside for me and a dealbreaker was the bathroom which I hated. What was wrong with having walls in a bathroom rather than a glass with a “modesty panel” and a door which doesn’t close completely and no sound proofing. Ok for one person but not 2. If one person uses the toilet in the night or gets up earlier the light from the bathroom floods the room. I would put the breakfast at 3 star as limited fruit, no berries, poor quality bread, messy off putting open bowls of yoghurt, processed meat and cheese. Cheap seemed to be the overall impression. The staff in reception were not very friendly, more perfunctory. The staff in the breakfast area were very helpful. One suggestion for the breakfast cook would be to write down the orders so he doesn’t forget/get them wrong when it is busy. Had to take off one star for the bathroom and the breakfast. If this doesn’t bother you then could be 4 star.
