Spent 2 nights /3 days at the hotel. Great access to transport system with DLR adjacent to the hotel. There in lies a blip. We had booked an executive suite, this was a large, clean and modern room with separate lounge area. However this alongside the DLR and the windows have opaque glass screening. This wasn't communicated to us at time of booking. There was a hum of the trains passing. We requested to change rooms, which was facilitated, but unfortunately not till the next morning. we then a great with a great view of the quay. We ordered breakfast in our room on the first morning, 2nd blip. They got the Oder mixed up, and slightly spoiled my partners birthday surprise. However due to their error they did not charge us.
That said the location was good, staff very friendly and accommodating. Rooms well maintained and bed so comfy. The access to the executive lounge was great, with snacks and drinks a plenty.
As in any city hotels bat charges are high, this to be expected. I would recommend this hotel and the India Quay area is vibrant.

Room Tip: Request room with quay side view.

Booked a 2 night weekend stay for visiting London including the O2. Chose this due to location and price and their beds - which are excellent. The hotel is well situated by West India Quay DLR station and is a modern design right by the Canary Wharf buildings. We had room only and decided on early check-in where we had an accessible room which in hindsight was not a good idea due to low bathroom sink etc but it was our choice so no fault of hotel. We decided to stay in the room. Usual facilities of large TV and fridge, safe, tea & coffee etc. We used room service one evening and it was truly excellent and not overly expensive, delivered promptly and with a smile. In fact all staff were friendly from welcome to reception, concierge to housekeeping. Short walk to Canary Wharf then stroll down to Jubilee Line then straight into the city of London. Very easy and recommended.

We arrived to hotel by train so I don't know of any parking facilities for a private car. However lots of taxi available and concierge have fleet of private hire available - at cost.

This is a really nice hotel and a really great atmosphere in the surrounding areas during the week (would be quiet at the weekend with all the office workers absent). We had Executive Lounge access which was excellent with food and beverages served all day. The breakfast here was delicious and the views are great from the lounge. Easy links by the Docklands Light Railway to the West End and City of London.

Visiting the Canary Wharf area this hotel is a great base. Not only is the hotel very modern, great rooms (and that Marriot bed...) it is near lots of great bars and restaurants. If you do need to get into the West End the DLR etc is all nearby. Overall the staff very good, I had one issue but it was quickly sorted out with no fuss so i was happy. Overall a good experence of one my favourite hotel chains.

Room Tip: Higher up the better - for views and the railway

this is not anywhere near the 'sights' of London and before midday on Sunday the area surrounding the hotel is dead as the office blocks are all desserted and the shops don't open until midday, except for the Starbucks, Costa, Pret and other assorted eateries where you can get a pretty good breakfast and avoid paying the £20 charged by The Marriott.
We had a room overlooking the bars and quay and not the DLR thank goodness, as this seemed to run mighty close to the rooms. The room was ready for us to check in at 11:45 which was great as we were off to the Olympic Park for a Dance Music Festival which started at midday.
The staff are all very helpful, friendly and efficient
The bar prices are steep, but this seems to be typical of all Marriotts
Would I stay here again, possibly if i was going to see something at the O2 or the Olympic Park, if I was seeing the sights of London, no it's too far out

Room Tip: ask for a room away from the DLR

Breakfast was pretty expensive, and we were charged a service charge on it too, which was a little cheeky!

This is an excellent hotel. Ideal for anyone visiting the O2. Standard of cleanliness, ambience and staff excellent. We stayed in an executive suite with access to executive lounge where a selection of eats and drinks were provided free. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.
