I already wrote a review, but it seems it disappeared. so here we go again... in synopsis:

not going to lie, for the money, the Belgrave kind of sucked. you are paying for a big screen tv in your room, a good area of london, and an in hotel bar.

most of the staff are rude. except for Gil. he's a really cool guy, and a hard worker.

their wifi didn't work practically the entire time we were there, but only on our floor (so we were told by a rude employee)
the maids basically run down the halls and slam the doors (not exaggerating at all) the entire midmorning to afternoon.

it was also extremely hot in the room. the a/c was busted... which normally I don't have a problem with.... yet the windows only open about three inches. that doesn't really allow much air circulation.

they also were renovating the hotel while we stayed there... which meant that all hours there was hammering on our walls. during the mornings it was the worst. suckfest.

I like the area of London that this hotel is in... but there are several others you should look at that will be better suited to your desires. unless you want to pay out the bum for shoddy service and a hot room.

Me and my boyfriend recently spent the night in this hotel while visiting in London for 2 days, room is cute and wonderful shower!!! Only downside was no air conditioning in room so we couldn't get too sleep very well since we have such a large heat wave at the moment, I would recommend hotel aslong as you don't go during hot weather.

We've stayed here for 2 nights in July and found The Belgrave to be very comfortable. The location is perfect, a short walk from Victoria Station and bus stops, and therefore perfect for travelling everywhere in London you want. The rooms are a tad small, but are equipped with everything you could wish for and extremely clean. A perfect hotel for a city trip to London.

I have a business role where I am staying in hotels for probably one third of each year.
I have found of late that hotels are developed into an impersonal experience and you are more of a number.
Not at The Belgrave! I stayed off and on for two weeks and found from booking in to leaving an intimate experience with the most affable and helpful staff.
Small but tastefully designed rooms, great location, close to all transport and plenty of restaurants.......perfect for business. Nothing was too much for the most well trained and professional group I have encountered for along time.

Ive had a bad back for 4 years so normally a stay at a hotel in painful, but not this time! Oh no the beds were so comfortable, I didn't get a single ache and I want to know what they are so I can get one at home! The hotel is in a great location between two stations but could do with better signage. The a4 sheet in the window is easily missed! The hotel is beautifully decorated and reception were very attentive, even In the early hours. Rooms are small but that's what we expected in London.

We stayed here for 3 nights in early July for a sightseeing break in London.
The location is Excellent, just a short walk to Pimlico or Victoria Underground and bus stops right outside.
There is no signage at the front of the hotel, just a small A4 sheet of paper on the front door, but if you check the street number of the houses / hotels it is easy to find.
We had a standard double room (and requested a low floor which was accommodated), the room was small but adequate for our stay (we did not expect lots of space in a London hotel), the bed was comfy but seemed a little smaller than an average double bed (not a problem for us but can imagine this would be uncomfortable for taller people).
The room was spotless and freshly decorated with a very nice rainfall shower (there is also a standard shower in there too if the rainfall shower isn't to your liking).
Our only complaint was the fact that the air conditioning wasn't working. We contacted reception and someone immediately came up and unlocked the balcony doors so that we could have them open instead, that was fine for us. We were advised that the air conditioning was not working yet and would not be up and running until August 2013. There is no mention of this on their website and we were not told about it at check in which we were disappointed with. We had seen one to two mentions of air con issues on here but were hoping these would be fixed before our stay. Having the doors open to cool the room meant we had a fair bit of noise from traffic but it was either that or sit in a hot room and we were able to close the doors at night without it being too hot thereby shutting out the noise (it wasn't particularly hot outside during our stay yet the room caught the sun for most of the day and got very warm so can imagine this will only get worse as the weather heats up).
The staff were very friendly and helpful and we had no real issues with the Wi-Fi (yes it is a little slower than at home but we expect this in a hotel where lots of people are trying to use it all together and it wasn't as slow during our stay as some reviews have mentioned).
Overall this will be a lovely hotel once it is finished (i.e. once the air con is working and they have finished decorating, they were still painting the Reception and Bar areas during our stay and there were dust covers over the furniture) and we would go back if we were in that area again and would definitely recommend this Hotel to friends.
This is the kind of value, size and service we expect from a hotel in London

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting London - lovely modern decor, efficient reception, very clean, perfect location 5 minutes from Victoria station, couldn't have asked for better - obviously not fantastic for a long stay as the rooms are small and there isn't a great view but that's a minor problem. Great value for money.
